on the topic of linear drumming: 13 years ago i first tried to play 50 ways to leave your lover and there was no chance back then.. ive tried it now and then but it didnt work. ive spent about 30 minutes on it every day over the last week and finally its done. i can now play that song. im so happy about it. might not be a big achievement for many, but it is for me
I suffered an accident couple of years ago, left me with 29 broken bones. My ankles, my knees and my foot... actually my feet. My neck is the most serious going because any wrong move is a risk of me becoming paralyzed. I have screws metal rods that was used to reconstruct my leg and ankles and knees. And as a drummer as much as I enjoyed it, is very painful when playing the bass drum. But the one that's heartbroken to me is the crack on my. Being left with short-term memory, whatever it is that I learned from tutorial I will most likely only remember maybe 30%. But paying the drums is part of my therapy, not only physically but mentally and even psychologically, it keeps me sane and encouraged with me to keep moving forward. I want to thank you because the time that I felt like giving up and no becoming one of your subscribers.., I'm starting to soak in and retain some of your techniques exact quick or now... Only problem is remembering what I learned the day before.
Wow that’s a horrific story, Richard!😦 I’m sorry that happened to you but I’m happy to hear you’re finding solace in drumming. Thankfully, music works in beautiful ways and can definitely during tough times. I hope you’ll get better soon. Keep on drumming, buddy!
