Hell yeah man, playing the rhythmic alphabet! Its crazy how many drummers have never been taught or even heard of it. I spent hours practicing each letter when i first started with both hands and feet. I still use it today to warm up all these years later.
I always played two bars of each letter on each foot (or hand accenting the letter) before moving onto the next letter, and played through the whole alphabet that way to warm up.

Very useful lesson. Do you use ankle technique for quick doubles or do you also use slide or heel-toe technique sometimes?
