What an amazing review of a product. I'm not a maker at all, but it's so illustrative and clearly explained that at no point was I feeling lost. Very well done 👍
That is a really nice compact laser with 55w! Only ever had access to big free standing units I could never justify for a small workshop! Very cool, looking forwards to see what you come up with using it!
Am I being hyperbolic in saying that this channel is about to explode in content and subs with this new addition to your workflow? Maybe. but I just want to put that energy out there in the universe. Super stoked for ya bro!
Does anyone know if the instructions are still wrong/backwards, please? Or does someone have an annotated set that is known to be correct and current? Thank you.
Ah I'm so glad that we were able to help (in a little way) you to get this machine! Super excited about this. Your videos are so high quality and are one of the only channels I have notifications on for! Looking forwards to everything this enables you to make in the future :)
i was waiting for a video thank you so much for your hard work!! I am planning on making my own room and i am learning so much from you're videos!!! Also when is the computer video coming out?
Happy that you enjoyed it! This one took a lot of time editing through the weeks of footage from testing the machine haha 😆 Custom PC build prototyping vid next!
They do actually have giveaways on their live streams, but usually it's for attachments or decent discounts off. I'm so excited at the possibilities, especially with clear and white acrylic, given the theme of my desk build. Custom PC coming up!
Hey, what's the name of that microscope? I've seen you use it in different videos and i'm interested. Also, great work with the videos, you deserve this machine!
It's by BeaverLABs, they sent it for a review a few months ago and has been very handy with the built in video recording. Only thing I wish it had was manual camera exposure settings. Here's a RUclips short I made about it ruclips.net/user/shortsKXHN2LCpgGE?feature=share
@@camshand And I heard something about a ToDo app beta update, so it will get even better! :D Meeting notes, personal and work notes, books.. A small do-it-all note! (fangirling, sorry! hahah)
I've been planning out the changes with all the great suggestions in the comments of the first video. Think I've decided on a drawer unit option, and now need to look into the roof vent as it's winter now so using this machine with the door open is freeeezing! Haha 😂
BeaverLAB sent it for review, you can see the short here. ruclips.net/user/shortsKXHN2LCpgGE?feature=share Been using it for a few months and the built in video recording has been very useful for RUclips videos but I do wish it had manual camera exposure and white balance control settings.
How crazy is it! I was like this is getting worse with every "correction" so I paused and thought about what the mechanism was doing and realised it was literally the opposite... Hopefully they fix it now as we know the xTool team have seen my video. The click through guide in general though is great, makes the process a lot easier to match your results to the picture.
I've put the CAD models and parts list for the frame in the final part. But are you more so meaning a guide on how to 3D model and design the lasercut files to add things into the desk?
Ohhhh soooo did 😍 incredibly grateful, as it now unlocks so many possibilities at home. Especially the time to test out really deep engraving, that unlocks a lot of design options
Good question, it's an 8 Inch Hon & Guan Inline Duct Fan. They send it to me for a previous video, to feature it's high airflow of 760CFM. Only been a month or so of use since then but I've had no issues, it does what it says on the box haha. Being able to crank it up for wood cuts and the leave it running long after the machine is done to keep taking the smell out has been great. And I 3D printed an adaptor for the small laser cutter ducts to it. Amazon: geni.us/8InchDuctFan Website: store.honguan.com/ They also gave me a 10% off discount code for direct Website orders: camshand
So great that you no longer have to go into town to cut your acrylics! Can’t wait to see what you make with this new machine!!
Always a good day when bro uploads
Oh yeah!
real tho

always appreciate that you share the issues and concerns you have with the products you use. great video :)
dude you deserve this, congrats! What a machine
My theory is the calibration instructions were wrong because they didn't take into account you're in the upside down half of the earth
Hahahahaha that actually made me laugh 😂 wasn't expecting it lol
Does anyone know if the instructions are still wrong/backwards, please? Or does someone have an annotated set that is known to be correct and current? Thank you.

4:36, that a dichroic filter used in stage lights colour flags to blend colours, using CMY

😅
Another great video! I hope as this channel grows that your videos never change. They are amazing as is.
Let them know if they wanna give one away I'll take it! I can't wait to see what you make next with this tool

Custom PC coming up!
great review! what is that microspe you have?where did you get it?
The panels should be aluminum perhaps with laser etched labels.
incredible machine, cant wait for what youre going to use it for in the future!
I'm sooooooo excited for all the semi transparent colours and special acrylics that I can now easily work into my custom tech projects!
My new favorite channel
That's awesome! Congrats!

That software you talk about for your laser cutter is like tinkercad but for laser cutters
Yes super simple! Lightburn gives all the enthusiast features, but for general cuts and engraving, power and speed over a vector path is perfect 🤙
I know you dont want to hear it, but I SERIOUSLY watch your videos to spot the supernote nomad and fangirl over it xD
Haha I love mine so much, especially to be able to undo and re arrange parts of my notes and sketches. Simple features that work so well 👍

When are we gonna get a update on the makerspace?

Great review. Hope they take in your input.
Would be tricky with the emergency stop given its hardware, but for everything else surely they can 👍
Amazing like always
Bring this early is criminal

Been using it for a few months and the built in video recording has been very useful for RUclips videos but I do wish it had manual camera exposure and white balance control settings.
lol it took me an hour to figure out I had to turn the screen the opposite direction to center the rear mirror! 😂😂 they should fix the manual.

I would like a tutorial on how to build ur desk
I've put the CAD models and parts list for the frame in the final part. But are you more so meaning a guide on how to 3D model and design the lasercut files to add things into the desk?
@@camshand Yes thank you.
Someone knows the name of the tablet at minut 5:29 ??? It's soo cool
Please review your setup when it is complete
Do you want a desk setup tour or do you mean a makerspace tour?
Has anyone ever told you that you kind of look like Agent Kallus from Rebels?
sick dude
Yoooooo what happened to the one with orange covers
I'm still keeping it but not sure where it'll fit in the home makerspace... I still need it's blade cutter tool for vinyl decals.
You needed that
Ohhhh soooo did 😍 incredibly grateful, as it now unlocks so many possibilities at home. Especially the time to test out really deep engraving, that unlocks a lot of design options
commenting for the algorithm. Seriously though, great vid looking forward to more
Thanks Jonah! Appreciate that algorithm boost 🚀
Verry great
Anyone know what brand the fan at 1:49 is? I have a similar one, but the one in the video seems like it can move a lot more air than mine.

I can't believe you still have sub 50k subs
Dont tell me u returned the one u bought
No I'm keeping my xTool M1, the blade cutter attachment is very useful for vinyl cutting decals.
They send me one too please
This is annoying, Omtech sells 60w lasers with non-proprietary parts for HALF of that price of that Xtool and with the about the same work area.
