These pink blooms look like roses. My sister had a rose bush that bloomed in April under the snow of WI. That thing would bloom thru the snow. NO ONE expected that roses would bloom in April and she loved that bush. But it was still alive after the snow melted. She thought it might die in the hot sun. For al the snow and cold it had been getting into the upper 90's in WI even back then. But it was there still when we left WI in "93. Even back then the temps in summer often reached 99. And even 100. A lot has happened to the climate since we left. They had a drought. How could a state surrounded by fresh water lakes be in drought? You tell me. But they had devastating fires in northern WI which wiped out tons of deer cabins and hunter's lodges. We left just in time. I could not take another season of shoveling snow only to have the plow come and undo what it took and hour to clean up. The only snow I have to shovel here is the stuff that comes out of snow machine on the mountain, should I choose to do that. After 31 years in the desert, I have never missed snow. We did take our first born granddaughter, Emily (Now 30) to the top of Mt Lemmon on Christmas eve day. We did not have many friends down here yet, It was 1995. The car door was open and the radio playing I'm dreaming of a white Christmas. Emily had never seen snow yet. She was 1.5 years old. The snow fell on her eyelashes. She got so excited she toddled to the side evading all 3 of us and almost went over the edge of the lookout. That was magical. Now I don't want to hear that song anymore. Makeshift families are always there for each other. But they will not invite someone they have not vetted into their homes on holidays. Hebrews 13: Be hospital to strangers and invite them into your home for a meal, in doing so, you may be entertaining angels'. Our Lord made the angels. Half mutinied. Angels are servants of the Lord. They are able to get from one time and place to another without walking. Angels can hover like the angels that sang praise at Jesus' birth. They do not really fly but they are pictured having wings. That probably is not true. Another artistic feeling which is not supported in the Bible. Most angels in the Bible when they come to tell Abraham about his change of name and status, then Gabriel talked to Mary. We do not have much of a description of the angel Gabriel. Gabriel announces anything to do with Jesus. Michael is an archangel and the prince of Israel. Another stereotype you can put in your book of what's true? Today was a Golden Day, so I have been in a seat going to and around Fayetteville most of the day, catching up on mail, banking, groceries and other necessities for my dear MIL. My dad had his first in-home nurse visit, and the report was great! They will bring some more equipment so they can monitor his states from his home ~ nifty, huh?! Also, he is really trying to do the exercises and looks more mobile than in a long time. Now if we could just get him to drink more and eat less! Thank you for those wonderful prayers, sister! I'll bet you were scared to pieces when your granddaughter Emily was so excited and didn't know the dangers ahead. Probably an angel swooped in! I am sure they are hypersonic fast! I love you stories of angels and ministering to us. I love this and God bless you for blessing Him! I am so thankful for your thoughts and understanding of Divine things! You are shining His Light and planting seeds for others to water and for Jesus to harvest! You're right: I don't see how angels would need wings! What will we do after the Psalms?! I will probably go back to singular devotions/themes. However, the book of John would be a great one to study! We will see where the Holy Spirit leads us. God bless you, my sister in Christ! @@ATouchOfTheSun Good news. We will get our new water heater on Monday so we can install in Monday NIGHT on our new vinyl, looks like wood. They called today and said they would be out to our home between 8-9. If everything is good, they will have the laundry room done first, so we can put our new water heater in there. Laundromats are so expensive. For one load of clothes in the washer and then in the dryer for 25 minutes it is $7. We used our soap from home and a sheet of bounce. I would go broke if I did not have a washer and dryer in the house. We wanted to see and we got some take out Chinese. Brought it into the kitchen (I had water on the boil for later) and dished it up in our own plates. I tool the boiling water and added some cold water from the tap to wash dishes. It worked but we have a lot of things in the room that we now have to fit back into the house. That will be like finding more puzzle pieces than the game is supposed to have and trying to make them fit. God gave us a different Christmas. Without ANY of the trappings of secular Christmas. My God daughter made us a tin of homemade yummy different cookies with wholesome ingredients. I am really tired. We have so much to do today and I am bushed. See you in the morning but will be in and out all day. We move over some things and find a place for it in the house for now. Gonna go to bed. Long days ahead. GBY love you. JJ

It will be cramped and we will be eating real food cooked on a stove until Monday. They need to get the laundry room done first before anything else.
