- Keep your eyes glued to your screen, because Mojang devs Sandra Karlsson, gnembon, Matthew Clohessy, and Sarah Boeving are diving into (some of) the secrets of the newest, eeriest biome to come to Minecraft, the pale garden! Who is responsible for how unsettling the creaking looks? Where do you look when you encounter a creaking AND an Enderman at the same time? And is death by resin a thing? You know where to find the answers!
Can't wait for them to release the Pale Chiropractor to fix the Creaking's posture.

Ambient sounds is a huge step towards what I would like to see in all biomes
Fog, white pumpkins, and some sort of mushroom variant, have the sniffer be able to smell things like white pumpkin seeds, add some white bushes, abandoned structures, crows, owls, new frog type that sums it up
I like how the creaking and endermen are opposite, you have to look one but can't look the other, and the color of their eyes are also opposite color (orange and purple), which makes sense I just realised

Ok so I downloaded a picture of enderman, inverted the colors and his eyes turned green. I did the same with creaking and his eyes turned blue. So the colors don't really make sense after all, I was tweaking
@@greenwiener As the person above said, green is the opposite of purple for computers, but as far as light waves and spectrum purple and yellow are complementary, which means they're on opposite sides of the color wheel. That's something you'd learn in a color theory art class. So, for a painter, yellow is the opposite of purple, and for a techie green is. I'm a painter first so that's where my mind went.
in my opinion its missing bit of fog to make it a bit more eerie

Please add a fog into this biome! It would make it so much more eerie and spooky!

They could even make it fit the "infected forest vibe" if they gave it a pale greenish colour and pixel sized spore particles floating in it.

You should get hired by MoJang.
Similar to how some mobs can spawn left handed. Creakings can rarely spawn with their head on thw opposite side.
I like how the ambience is attached to the blocks in the Pale Garden! Just imagine you have a rustic house and you hear creaking every so often, that would be cool!
The Way the new Ambience works is definitely my favorite part of the update. I hope We get More features Like this in the future!

@@danielloewen2857 Yes, thanks it’s somthing that Should give the Sniffer more use for waht it does and it also gives one more reason for having to go into the Pale Garden.
Suggestions:
Make the trees in the Pale Garden have a similar shape to the Creaking; it implies it evolved to look like its surroundings to hunt better.
Add white pumpkins.
Add fog.
Add a use to the biome other than resin and white wood that would compel the player to visit it.

Since the biome is supposed to be creepy horror anyway, it’d have been better if first, no other mobs spawn in pale garden, next is that you’d witness mobs avoid walking into the biome, even hostile mobs. Like imagine something in the pale garden could scare off even hostile mob, and i really hope there will be more creepy mobs in the pale garden biome. And you should add fogs in. And the purpose of it is to make players lose track of the surrounding, kinda like how in horror movies if characters escapes into the forest they’d get lost while being chased by a horror creature. Of course you should give players option to turn on or off the fog, but the fog must be on in hardcore mode, that’d make the biome extra dangerous in hardcore mode.
I would love to see different variations of the creaking, having different shapes and eye positions

I love the moveable creaking noises! We need more 'ambiance' blocks that release effects or sounds nearby it. Also, the music cutting out when you walk unto the biome is incredible. Everyone else is saying it- but yes, thick fog would really tie this whole biome together. Maybe the fog could be attached to a block, too..? 👀

I love how each of these dev videos focus on different members of the team. It really makes it feel like Minecraft is the combination of different ideas; similar to little vanilla like mods to enhance the world and add features. Reakky looking forward to using the resin blocks with shroomlights! It never even occurred to me that they would make use as a molten style of block with lava and heat!
I have something about this pale garden, it's an unnecessary biome, no update needed. The only update needed is the End update.

and besides that, the creaking allows us to use player sight in redstone contraptions, which is objectively cool

I like this drop system of updates since we could get multiple drops for the End and the Nether!
The nether isnt gonna be touched again for a long time like how in Nether Update
And the end won’t get updated until they believe the overworld is completely revamped which isn’t completely finished

I wish the Creaking did more damage. Like, an Enderman's worth of damage. It is very easy to stop, and the spookiness wears off when you realize it doesn't hurt much. Full suit of armor and it's basically like any mob, but you just need to look at it to stop it from hitting...

we NEED green wood. black wood would also make a wonderful wood type. there’s more opportunity than just white, pink and a variety of browns
@@Myki12345 Yh, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Jeb finally scrapped it. Wallpapers made with, let's say a loom and paper would be cool as an alternative, lots of variations, just like banner design.
We will be excluding tricky trials, essentially every update since 1.16 has added a new wood type. We will get green wood…eventually…

Nah, it would be annoying IMO. Instead of the biome itself producing the fog, the fog should be created by a plant exclusive to that biome, something similar to the spore blossom in the lush caves. That way the player can get rid of the fog if they dislike it, and maybe even use the new plant for decoration purposes.

I like the idea of the pale forest being the ghost of a burned down forest, animating itself to defend from another possible fire. Perhaps they could have ruined nether portals spawn more often in them.
I just wish this biome was larger. Most of the time i find it, the pale garden is so tiny. (That doesn't mean that i dislike this drop. I'm very excited for it!)

If that white pumpkin doesn't have anything going for it outside of the block itself, I don't think it's worth the hassle of adding it into the game in the first place.

I think we need structures that can spawn in the biome as well, giving abandoned eerie vibes to it.

They should make a temple like the desert temple but the color like the pale garden with ruins of traps and loot inside but creakings lurk inside of it and if you open a chest they will start attacking you

@@SirBaconFace its more than an imply. The illagers are SCARED of Creaking and will run away from them ingame. They also collected some resin to store in the mansion chests. Its more than implication, its lore.
ngl though enderman and the creaking is like the entities that one of them is "don't look at it, it will chase you on contact" and "Always look, look away for a very short time."
I feel like when Mojang adds everything they (the community) want, people ask for more. No matter how much things they add, it's never enough for the community.

Its a pretty small amount of people that ask for this stuff compared to the people who ask for other updates.
The main issue is that the dev team is quite lazy, this stuff isn't hard to code. Yet they update so infrequently and dont really add much when they do.
And alot of the updates dont fit with anything in preestablished minecraft, so they seem quite pointless

When I open Minecraft today, I was like: oh my gosh, the update is here!?
So I loaded up a world with the seed and then I did a mine car thingy into the pale gardens and then on my next world with the pale gardens, I built a house with orange windows and orange beds!
This is genius! I’m really impressed with this update! Minecraft is magical!

@@ThisIsAHandle-xz5yo it has been roughly half a year since the major update and they've only added this, bundles (which should have released years ago) and hardcore on bedrock (again should have released years ago). That definitely isn't half a major update worth of content (and the major updates kept getting smaller and smaller) so it isn't even half of the already lackluster updates

I love the creaking. A pale, white guy with scoliosis, to be funny, but a stalker hiding in plain sight, freezing when looked at. The suspense of looking away (which you'll have to) is unnerving. All this to say, It's the best mob. I usually don't like new mobs as much, but the creaking right from the start. Great job. My one complaint is the low damage and reach, but hey, not everyone can avoid mobs like me.
It would be cool if the Pale Garden appeared in the End. It could be another End biome, also tied to the void and silence. Additionally, the eyes of The Creaking resemble the eyes of Endermen.
It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, because it’s supposed to be a sick dark forest

@@MrCreator2021real There could be two variants of the forest-one in the End and the other in the Overworld. In the End, the trees would have a unique shape, while in the Overworld, they would remain unchanged. Additionally, to give meaning to the heart of the Creaking and the Eyeblossom, I propose introducing a "day" and "night" cycle (players still wouldn’t be able to sleep in the End).
The End would have its own "sun," which would be black and stationary. It would shrink (indicating "night") and expand (indicating "day"). The mechanics of the flowers and the heart of the Creaking would function in the End based on time measured relative to the "End sun."
Enderman and Creaking are like SCP-662 and SCP-173

Honestly what im most exited for is the sky. I'm trying to re-create Portland, Oregon in minecraft and the sky was always something that bothered me, because I needed a kind of darker white sky to match the canvas sky that is constantly covering the city and with all the rain, so I cant wait to make Portland feel like actual Portland with the pale garden biome.
I think that Mojang should release a structure in the pale garden called the Pale Court which houses the Pale King, a mob who turns into a new boss called the Pale Wyrm when threatened and he drops pale ore when defeated
