First full video I have ever seen posted. Nice - appreciated
Thanks for watching!
Great video. There are some great tips mentioned all the way through this video. Thank you for taking the time to make it!!
Thanks Mike, really appreciate that.
Awesome to se a full length video mate 😁 got skills as always
Thanks man. Been battling a cold / allergies though for a couple weeks so not all there lol.
@@NORTHWESTKNIFEGUY hehe seams more than good enough. Stay healthy mate best wishes to you and yours
I absolutely love my griptilian. So lightweight in the pocket and gets razor sharp. I just sharpened mine on some Spyderco ultrafine rods. The S30v seems to like ceramic. So does Benchmades M4.
Yes they're great knives, really enjoy mine and the action on them is buttery smooth! :-) Yeah s30v takes a super keen edge off my ceramics for sure.
amazing video, thx for the long share, what a change to former videos 👻. the commentary is very helpful\interesting 👌💪 keep it up, have a nice weekend!
me, i spend every minute on my highschool maths project1 (to complete by april my guess) just to keep my mind directionally busy.😸c u 🔜
Thanks leech and you too! You have to squeeze some sharping in there from time to time. :-)
@@NORTHWESTKNIFEGUY the kitchen knife 🔪 has been sitting for 2 weeks on the desk . i was asked to do it but i can't get to it... 😫😁
@@leecherlarry Always find time to sharpen! :-)
Great video. When you do a touchup, do you go for a burr, or do you alternate sides to realign the apex after use?
Thanks and It really depends. If I touch up on high grit water stone(s) not so much as they really don't generate much of a burr when using light pressure and if there is any kind of slurry. On something like a ceramic stone I would normally create a very fine burr.
Great video. How frequently do you do a full sharpening like this vs a more abbreviated method?
Thanks! Not to often unless I'm repairing an edge or like in this case adding a nice mirror. Normally hit and edge on a fine diamond or ceramic to touch it up.
Only a hour? Let’s do it 🤓
Had to take my time on this one. 😁
Nice job my friend. Never worry about the long uncut vids. Personally, I find these refreshing and when I post them I like to show it all. Warts and all if any. Keepin’ it real. I have come to care less about the mirror than the apex lately, but I must admit I have a couple of edge that get the salon treatment ;) My s30V and S90V as well as my m390 all just look so good when I can see myself admiring my work. That said, I prefer to see my smile in the reflection when I also hit my BESS numbers too. Beauty and Brawn! LOL. Keep up the good work buddy! Kenny
Thank you Sir! Will keep that in mind, full mirror (keeping everything nice and even) is kinda a long and slow process so wasn't sure how many wanted to see that lol. The users for the most part don't really get a mirror, just ones I like to play with. :-) Thanks again and you to my friend!
Do you have plastic cases for those shaftons? Cheers of there’s anything other than the cardboard sleeves for my glass ones
Yes, they come with plastic cases.
the glass stones come in a paper box/sleve thing. they dont come with cases. you have to buy the case for those. it's also made of glass and costs a lot of money. there are 2 versions.
