hi, you need to watch some of the older vids to understand the idea for this project. It's using dead or broken cdj and giving them new life as midi device.
Hey mate, I would like to convert my CDJMK3’s. Do you have a full step by step procedure to do it and do you sell all the boards, parts and instructions as a kit?
@@brandonjcollins1062 not yet, I am just looking at ways to reduce the speed of the jog wheel. The sensor of the pioneer is very high res and sending this to serato or traktor is way way too fast. If you slow down with software it looses movement and steps so makes it hard to use them.I used mine for a bit and started to annoy me more and more.
Hi, So I am sorry, but rekordbox will not work with this because they do not allow any standard midi device to use the jog wheel, it must be one of the official supported controllers to work.
It seems possible to spoof (only confirmed working on Mac OS however) a Pioneer approved controller. Catch is that it requires some paid software. See the write up by Teo Tormo (spanish). However, it is conceivable that the "MIDI translation" could be done on the Teensy to be Windows/Mac compatible ... trouble starts from naming the teensy "Pioneer DDJ-SX" - if that much works then the rest of the MIDI translation should be possible on teensy. Unfortunately it appears that the MIDI device renaming for Teensy happens on OS not on the board so the end user would have to edit /hardware/teensy/cores/usbmidi/usb_private.h - potential bonus is that it would automatically map?
I have overlooked the fact that if this is possible it would then be better to spoof CDJ 2000, XDJ etc... though I don't know if HID actually uses MIDI
I have seen someone change the device id of the arduino - teeny to match a cdj and then they use HID commands to send data into a specific memory location. so I do know it's possible.
Hello, how you do to use two converted cdj1000 on serato ? Each one have one usb connection or are you using one microcontroller for the two cdj ?
How to connect cdj 1000mk3 dj console player to lap top or sd card?
Heeyy its awesome!!! I have to cjd 1000 mk3 too but i cant connect to my laptop :( how can i do it like you do
You need a serato dvs box mate there preety expensive tho
Hi, what are the advantages respect to a standard dvs setup? great job aniway.

understood, thanks for the answer
The lcd on cdj does not show?
😮 can this mod work on a cdj1000 mk2
nice dude!
The top is able to read title from midi and visualize it on a dedicated display
Задержка большая?
How have you got a USB connection to the cdjs??? What's is the connection lead called.
Please watch the series of vids when I made these my self, that should answer your question
Can i have the cource code?

hi, sorry not yet they just do not work that well with the jog wheel and I was working on other things.
DJ legion so you don’t recommend doing the conversion?

DJ legion ok mate, thank you very much.
@@brandonjcollins1062 it's important that this part works 100% yes ? I feel like it needs to be rock solid and possibly the most important function.
If I use CDJ 1000 mk2s with a regular Serato DVS setup w/ RCAs through my S3 mixer,
will only the jogwheel & play button be accessible?
everything would work as normal just controlled from the time code.
wait, so the pitch control and loops and everything can be controlled via timecode as well, you think?
Hey gues i just got a dj 1000mk2 can y’all show me or tel me how it works thanks i will give you $20 to my number is 8702098112
@@blankcheckguy69 it should work.
@@DJlegionuk i wanna connect them with my pioneer ddj-sx2 so i'm just wandering if i will be able to use fx via controller?
how to connect to laptop !
Is this cdj 1000 mk1?
these mods will work in a mk1,2 and 3 as the layout and cases are close enough.
How do I get mine to work I’m using SL2 but can’t get hot ques , loops and ques to work
damn. no need to worry if it doesn't support hid mode
Sorry, it's just midi. HID is locked down by pioneer and traktor/serato
I am waiting for Rekordbox CDJ 1000 midi :)

this is sick btw, can you share the xml or the file so I can try it out
try it with what ? my xml will only work with my midi converted cdj.
yeah I just realized its a lot of hardware re-work you did there.
