I thought he spoke like someone who has had speech therapy to get over a stutter; the overly hard enunciation of consonants that someone with a stutter would often struggle with, and when he's frightened he stutters again.
Genuinely one of the hardest lines sung in any StarKid show, aided by the buildup of the rest of the song and the juxtaposition with Will's own excellent performance. It's just such an incredible moment.

It's so intense and sad, and you know he's gonna die, but the worse part is seeing him trying to escape it. He tries to run away several times, but tries one last thing, which is convincing Max he's not a looser, cause everyone finally accepted him as a person. All he can do at the end is beg for him to stop trembling on the ground, until he actually dies. His "I'm not a looser" is just HERATBRAKING AAAA i'm not crying you are.

Richie feels the most real to me. The way Jon over pronounces a lot of his words and his inflections/tone carries a “I’m smarter than you” type of speaking. It’s so accurate to how a lot of weebs talk, specifically the Reddit ones. And while Richie is way less obnoxious, he would probably annoy a lot of people in universe with that. Jon killed it with the weeb nerd archetype. This character could have easily been really annoying on paper (even with the fantastic writing), but Jon adds so much charm and vulnerability to him. Sidenote: while I love Richie to death, I can’t defend him when he calls someone a waifu in person 😭
