  • Being a pilot is awesome! But only in the movies. In real life, be prepared for a series of difficult challenges: exhaustive training, flying, simulations and flying, theory, and more flying. And only at the end is there a Saturday party!
If you want to be a pro, there is no better fighter than the F-22 Raptor.
Sure, it isn’t the latest or greatest, and in fact it may even be retired from the US military soon, but it is the aircraft from which Aces are made! You can feel every facet of the plane’s movement in flight as you become one with it.
So what is a typical day in the life of an F-22 pilot like?

Agreed. He had said this is the plane Aces are made from. There is not a single air to air kill in the raptor.

It's too bad that many consider the Air Force as an easy branch to negotiate compared to others and aren't given the same respect. But actually they're extremely important and often pivotal in first response and rescue operations. Aviators and etc are brave, intelligent, and very exceptional human beings.

Call it easy all they want, its alot freaking harder to get a good job in. Promotions are alot harder to get too.
The only thing "easy" is the basic pft, but that will change depending on your afsc.
My father did 29yrs in the air force, he was pararescue in Vietnam, then after the war he worked on his degree in aerospace engineering, graduated, got himself a commission and earned a pilot slot
He flew f4s for about 8yrs then his unit transitioned to the f15, which he flew for as long as he could until the usaf was like alright dude youre getting on in age you wont have your flight status forever 🤣 once they put him into more of a management role at the wing with very little flying is when he started retirement planning, don't blame him lol

To be a pilot you have to have a 4-year degree. Go to college first, do ROTC or attend the USAFA, then you can declare intentions to become a pilot
