as big of a USMNT fan I am this video shows just how average we are. US can beat average teams like Ecuador and Paraguay but not the elites of Argentina or Colombia. and whats sad is Mexico is now the clear best team of Concacaf

Most of you "USA" fans have no idea what you are talking about. For our player pool, our young talent, and not being the most popular sport in our country this was an alright, if not a great year. I do not understand why some are saying this was a horrible year. Yes we lost to Guatemala, however, we beat them 4-0 and still made it to the Hex. We went to the Semi-finals in Copa America by beating Ecuador; better than Mexico, Uruguay, and Brazil. There is no shame to losing to Columbia twice by just ONE GOAL. Or Argentina. They are both great teams. And yes we did lose to Mexico and Costa Rica at the end of the year. I am not saying this was a fantastic year, but come on, y'all are over exaggerating. We are not as bad of a team as we seem. We almost always overachieve expectations at Major tournaments

And hyping up a bunch of young players and not hyping the experienced players.

Firing Jurgen Klinsmann was the best moment for us in 2016. What a wonderful day it was.

Anyway Bruce is only temporary because he knows the ins and outs of Concacaf. Klinsmann was an ass and everyone knows it. Just read Lahm's autobiography. Finally, lets look at Klinsmann's "achievements" for us.
-First ever loss in Jamaica
-Shambolic collapse in Honduras where leaked quotes show discontent with him as coach from most of the team.
-Getting destroyed by Ghana and Belgium in the world cup. Tim Howard was the only reason we didn't lose 7-0 to Belgium.
-Taking Julian Green and Brad Davis to the world cup ahead of Landon Donovan.
-Timmy Chandler
-Ventura Alvarado
-Michael Orozco
-Failing to qualify for the olympics twice in a row.
-Playing the most retarded lineups in the gold cup, resulting in us failing to beat Panama at home twice, and losing at home to Jamaica for the first time ever, and failing to reach the gold cup final for the first time in almost 2 decades.
-Calling up Wondolowski, Beckerman, and Zusi to the Copa America.
-Losing to Guatemala for the first time in 30 years.
-Failing to beat Trinidad(who just lost to SURINAME btw).
-Getting destroyed by Argentina 4-0 without even a shot. Bradley managed to beat Spain, and nearly beat Brazil. He also tied England. Bruce beat Portugal, beat Mexico at a wc, lost to Germany on a referee blunder, and tied Italy down a man, all while having far less talent at his disposal than Klinsmann had.
-Losing at home to Mexico for the first time since the 90s.
-Losing 4-0 at Costa Rica to a team of mediocre MLS players. Many people blame MLS for Klinsmann's issues, but this game throws that argument out of the proverbial window. Johan Venegas destroyed our defense, even though he can't crack Montreal Impact's starting XI, or even get off the bench very often.
-Ignoring quality talent like Hamid, Robles, Hedges, Kitchen, McCarty, Lletget, Nagbe, Kljestan, Feilhaber, Nguyen, Kemp, etc.
-Johnson at RB
-Bradley at CAM
-Corona at CDM
-Acosta at LB
-Consistently talking down to his critics as naive, uncultured barbarians who don't understand his European elitist ways.
I thought it couldn't get worse than Bob Bradley. I was excited like many others when Jurgen took over. This has been the worst disaster in US Soccer history. 6 years of talent development and progress flushed away like shit.

I don't know much about most sports, so what does MNT stand for? I was wondering if the U.S. ahs games that are jsut inside it's borders dan not just against foreign teams. There's nothing wrong wtih playing with foreign teams in or out of the U.S.
We should not have fired Klingsman! It is a process that takes time and we stopped him in the middle. I know we lost games that we really wanted to win but the only ones that actually matter were the U23 games against Colombia. yeah yeah the Confederation's Cup would be nice, but it does not matter. OK so we started off the hex with 2 hard fought losses without some key players, just to remind you. But both those teams are really strong teams And they were lucky to win. the Mexico game, either one whatever we played good hard soccer and it just turned out that Mexico played better. there is no shame in that. I believe that Klingsman knew the only thing that matters it a good World Cup showing in 2018. everything before then doesn't matter, for sure don't screw up qualifying but it is OK to lose to teams that are just as good or maybe even better. It was a mistake to fire Klingsman but I know Bruce Arena will get us the points we need to qualify for Russia.
The US has been on a downwards spiral since the Belgium performance in 2014. Klinssman got 2 extra years to fix the ship and didn't. We need a coach that can make our players work and Klinsmann wasn't it.
Although I wouldn't mind keeping him as a scout. I will credit him on that.

USMNT will most likely qualify to Russia because they belong to the concacaf region. If they don't, then the US is even further away from reaching the level that they're aspiring to reach.
