Hi, this is just the backup process and it takes a full backup of the device just to restore at a later time when needed. If needed. But unfortunately it’ll not let you see the files and that is something I’ll cover in my upcoming videos … So make sure you stick around by subscribing to the channel. For me, the second I click the device icon near the top to see the summary it says “syncing (step 2 of 4) “ and all the “backup” buttons are grey so I’m guessing the backup has started?

what a piece of cr*p is apple , am trying to backup the pics and vids (not my phone , dad's phone) , but at the end you cant access them again when stored on your hd . nice tutorial easy to follow but damn at all the difficulty just to save pics on your hd.
apple and itunes is a shame. you can't simple copy your audio files to your PC. For that alone, you should never buy any apple product anymore. It's insane and it's pissing everyone off. You can't even select just the files you want to backup. Which is super sick.

Didn't work for me. No phone appears despite doing it ten times.
Apparently there's a glitch where it won't work with USB-C connectors, which is dumb. You need the old USB-A.

my total data in my iphone is 215gb but the back up made to my pc is just 160gb. Is the backup compressed or did I miss something?
Yes it does compress. If you still have doubts, do it again. See if the process finishes completely. If it does without any errors then you're good.

Yes, that is sorta quick backup. To save everything you'll have to do it manually.

Yes you can, but don't rename them. Just create a folder in your HDD and name it as you wish then copy these inside.

with android you just drag the folder out, no fussing with itunes/etc😌
