So , if I buy a Fanatec set up, I need 2 different quick release systems? 1 for wheel base and 1 for wheel? Do they not come with them when buying wheel, wheelbase and pedals?
If you buy one new you choose which quick release system you want with it.

I would recommend jump directly to QR2 if you have QR lite right now.
You're essentially putting yourself in the same situation again upgrading from the QR1 Lite to the Metal QR1, which is a lack of a solid connection. The real upgrade would be going to the QR2 lite from the QR1 lite. I just ordered that CSL DD upgrade a couple days ago for $129 and it already shipped
So, Can the QR2 be used with the GT wheel? The videos shows that the wheel base can be upgraded, but there is no mention of the wheel being supported for QR2?
if you fork the cash for qr2 you might as well retire the gt wheel. it belongs to the trash...
@@prozekutoryou are not the first person to mention that the GT wheel is plastic and rubbish. I’ve been looking at the Logitech wheel as well. Looks like it might be the better option.

Yes. EVERY wheel with an exchangeable QR can be upgraded to QR2.
@@prozekutor DD Pro. I already have a very old G29 that I bought when they were first released. I was going to get the Fanatec, but I am a little put off by all of the issues with delivery, failures that I read online at the moment.

Hi do this QR 2 improved FFB atm i have QR1 its feels honestly pretty good i dobt have allmost zero movement and i have GT DD PRO
It won't improve ffb, but it supposedly eliminates the little bit of flex that the qr1 has.

He said at the 20 second mark that it will have a slight impact on FFB due to the connection being more rigid than the QR1 provided with the wheel. Things will be a little more noticeable but the lighter the steering wheel(CSL Series) the more small nuances you will notice.
Looks like I can't upgrade the GT7 wheel to the QR2. Bummer.

I just went to the fanatec store to upgrade picked qr2 wheel and base bundle upgrade which is about 100€ . Then I went to checkout and the shipping costs for ups STANDARD. Is .........43€. 🤯 are they hiding costs in shipping costs? Unacceptable.

@@amateresu6708Well than you have the Base side, but you have to buy the wheel side too for 100€. I don‘t think that‘s fair. I personally ordered the Qr1 and will buy the Qr2 when it‘s cheaper.😊

Had csl elite for years and now csl dd and never had a single problem with either wheel bases, pedals or rims 🤷♂️
We have a dd1 fanatec setup in our youth center used daily for 2 years now, no problems at all
