- LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The attorney representing a teenager accused in a deadly crime spree argued for the charges against the teen to be dropped on Tuesday.
A good example of two people that we don’t need on the planet anymore.

A defense attorney claiming they’re a victim… imagine that.
Las Vegas government is so terrible. I got burglarized on vacation once and the officer accused me of selling a gun and then filing a claim it was stolen. I said sir, I don’t have a firearm and didn’t report one as being stolen but with police like you I imagine I need one.
They're so bad that they helped raise the kids to become like the murderers shown on screen. What goes around comes around. If city laws focused on actually raising the kids we wouldn't have these issues.

As a teenager in the early 2000s before I even had my own cellphone when sending a text meant repeatedly pressing the number key a certain number of times depending on the letter you want in lowercase or uppercase, one of first things my parents taught me was think carefully before hitting send because as soon as you send something either positive or negative it's out there for the whole world to see, and can't be taken back. My first cellphone when I was 17 was a flip phone which I paid the bill for with my allowance money, and had that for about 5 years until I went to a 2 year technical college, when I got my first smartphone.
Everyone deserves a legal defense. Even the worst among us. Otherwise we might as well devolve into barbarity.

The alleged two, posted the video of the incident enthusiastically, because they wanted to show others what they did, bragging! Sorry the defence attorney did not approve of everyone seeing what the two were very eager to show the world. Rather than drop charges, capital punishment should be revisited. I looked in to it and I found: Nevada is one of 27 states that permit capital punishment.

The defense attorney should be working on a deal for his clients to keep them off of death row. He had to know that a judge was NOT going to dismiss the case. Having said that, that defense attorney should not be receiving death threats. Even totally depraved defendants like these two are entitled to legal representation by the United States Constitution.

I can not count how many times I have been threatened by want to be tough guys. After 26 years in law enforcement I can honestly say that the guys with the tattoos on their faces are the first to cry and also the first to ask for protective custody when they finally go to prison. Defense attorneys are no better than the clients they represent.
When you commit a crime that receives national attention. It's not the Court's fault. And there's no reason to have a change of venue because it's a national incident. You can't hold the court liable for your own actions you have to take responsibility for that..... It's a jury trial of your own peers, so it's your own community they are finding you guilty of these crime's.

@@spaceracer23 Even if they were to appeal the conviction and it's successful, the prosecution can still retry the case. If this was a smaller case going with no media coverage then the charges could be dropped because prosecution wouldn't have to worry about the political repercussions. If the judge dropped this case then the prosecution and judge would face a LOT of scrutiny which would harm their chances politically.
You need to understand that if the lawyer does not make a vigorous defense of their client, the client can claim improper representation and get the case tossed.
So now, if you film your crime and post it on social media, the chargers will get dropped?

Wrong. Everyone has a right to legal defense, mob rule is appealing until a mob of duped fools turn on your or yours. That being said, the result of this case is clear, and no amount of legal defense is going to make a difference for these two.

He is a public defender, he has a legal duty to do his job in defending his assigned clients, d*mb*uck. They wanted him to try getting the charges dropped so he made his best case, as is expected of ANY public defender. It's the LAW. WE made him, a public defender who is OBLIGATED BY OUR SYSTEM TO DO WHAT HE DID, do it. Fucking hold the entire country accountable if you have a problem with it.

The defense attorney thinks he has the right to lie about the facts, and is upset that he may not be able to lie about his clients as much as he’d otherwise be able to.
The public defender is trying hard. He’s throwing everything at the wall in hopes that something will stick.
Defense lawyers are just doing their job but they also know their clients are guilty and are screwed.
Defense has a difficult job, no doubt.....but asking that the murder charges be dropped because footage was released and stories are being written? Come on now

The precedent has now been set that you can punish lawyers for representing their clients if you don’t like their clients, so I don’t see why this is a big deal that he’s being threatened like lawyers in Georgia.
