For years I'm facing the same issues when using boxcutter, for example intersect doesn't work properly and blender becomes super laggy after a couple dozen of boleans and many other bugs, even though I have latest updates and I'm working on a high end PC, could you please make a video of your boxcutter settings? it would be super helpful.
Pause mode is there to offset the pain of realtime in the event of single core overwhelming. i.imgur.com/adMkwfH.png As far as configuration goes, I never stray from the default settings. Trying to use exact excessively and even casual use and dismissal can lead to heavy performance issues in unexpected regions. i.imgur.com/VjAAvmZ.png Users sometimes can underestimate the processing pain caused by "exact". In videos, viewers can see me fight with it and typically I apply them quite fast and never let them sit. The processing is too heavy. Not only do those break the manifold nature secretly at times, they can have geometric issues that are not always apparent until attempting to solve. Stacking modifiers forever and trying to keep them all live adds to the processing that blender has to do so considering a finishing point with a part is potentially easier on the system. Hope that helps.
i.imgur.com/mHTFB0I.png Smart apply is probably the most used operation in "hard ops" for me because it allows me to Apply and proceed with the mesh. Turning it from a live processing action into a static piece of data. This allows me to mentally move on as well since the mesh has fewer live modifiers for blender to calculate on load or manipulation. Applying is scary but its also the most important action when it comes to getting predictability back. One day blender will have that "edit mesh" modifier. And every year it gets closer.
Happy New Year!
Same to you!
I hope that song at the end was about nsolve and created with AI. Happy New Year
Ty Happy New Year
Happy new year
Happy new year, when are we getting a boxcutter and hardops update?
whenever the description is read!
