My question, too. It shouldn't be a problem with the height and width, but is an issue if the width if the matted border is larger. What I'm going to do is just get a flat board the same height, cut channels to continue those in the 301-s (but opposite direction: if yiu continue in the same direction your work falls off the guide). I just bought a 301s and it hasn't arrived yet, but I'll extend it lime this when it does...
Perhaps I'm the only one who has this problem, but I seem to be having problems keeping my mat board from sliding during cutting, thus messing up my cut. Any tips anyone?
I have this 301-s, it really is this simple to create stunning mats. Very easy to use and worth every penny.
thanks Logan!
Thanks for posting this. I also have this one but haven't used it yet. You've shown that it really is easy.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.
The 301-s is long discontinued , take a look at the 350-1 and see the full range at Newcastle Arts Centre.
are you able to cut larger mats with this? i work in larger scales and im wondering if this will for for say 48`to 52`in. measurements.

Sorry slightly confused, how is that a 3 inch opening?
Yeah... it's not. Took awhile for me to see that the stated measurements are of the mat borders, not the opening/art work.
