I wanted a hybrid sedan so my two finalist were the Camry and the Accord. I tested and researched everything about them. My choice is the Honda Accord and I’m extremely happy with my choice and my assessment. Any superior car is selling you status, but the Accord has everything you need.
This Accord is basically what I plan on getting later this year. I've considered Camry, but from everything I hear, the Accord offers a bit more of an engaging driving experience. Thanks for showing the new Solar Silver color! Glad to see the silver option back. For a while, silver wasn't an available color when configuring an Accord, I assume because of the transition from Lunar Silver to Solar Silver. I love the Sport L in this color, and I feel Sport L offers the right blend of looks and features. To me, Touring just isn't worth the $3-$4K price jump.
After I purchased the 2023 accord hybrid touring, I realized how much value it provides. Rear vents with phone charging, heated rear seats, ventilated and heated front seats, bose sound system, heads up display, built in Google maps navigation. Additional led rear turn signals on both sides, side mirror turn signals. Front and rear parkimg sensors. Definitely worth it and you feel the difference.
I test drove this car in New Rochelle NY today. This car is an engaging ride and it grips the road well. It’s not Mazda handling but it makes up with great responsive braking as well as great acceleration.
I have the 2024 Touring version of this car. I find the Touring or EX-L the best trims. Sport & Sport-L are more for looks and "sportier" vibe but lack tech-features, heated mirrors, and rear A/C.
Be aware: Honda Accord Hybrids do not come with a spare tire. You do get a tire repair kit and an air pump. Just visualize yourself trying to repair a flat tire in the middle of the night in the rain rain on a car that doesn't have a jack or tire iron. If it wasn't so dangerous It would be comical. Since I have been making these comments Honda has come up with a spare tire kit you can buy for $500 that gives you the missing content. Amazon also has the Spare Tire kit for $450.
Nice review i had the 2022 2.0 and traded it for the same car and color it was worth it had for two months and got gas one time since no need to have a fast car if u cant drive it fast smh
Sirius XM built in next year would seal the deal. I can do streaming on XM but if I’m in rural areas or in dead zones where I’m having reception issues, then it becomes a hassle. I know it’s a first world problem but having the convenience of XM and not taxing my phone to do the task consistently seems to be a no-brainer.
I love the car but I hate the air vents . The style is not convenient for when people need to place there phone in the vent area. I have the 2021 Honda Accord sport and I love the whole car itself including the vent style.
No connectivity or vents for rear passengers is a huge zonk. How much more would it cost to add those features? My wife has the sole American competitor in this category (Malibu) and she has both features. Come on Honda. Exterior is pretty dang boring; the previous gen looked better. Great detailed review Tom, as always.
Disappointed with the new Accord's look. Seems big, ugly, boring and stupid looking compared to the 2021's sleek style. I was hoping for something even cooler this year, but it's just not there. Plus, it's expensive! I am extremely disappointed...!
That is a great point. I once had someone tell me that their subcompact SUV backseat would not cool off without rear AC vents. LOL That might be the case if they are driving through the Mojave Desert at noon during July. 😂
No, EX-L version is better, has +5mpg due to smaller wheels and leather sits. I own one. And you just got it for a test drive? What opinion can you give us? You have way too little experience with this car.

I just bought one, brand new all black, love it

Just got the 2024 sport hybrid! It’s an awesome car. You will love it !
I’m having a hard time choosing between this and the Camry xse 😭
@@bcoop85 I agree I want all those features in my accord L the price jump definitely makes it worth it with those features 🥰
$33,990 in ky I test drive it and I love it I’m getting the car in a couple weeks
Make sure you get the Spare Tire Kit. Your enthusiasm will fade quickly when you are stuck up the river without a paddle.
Got mine for 31k

I am sure the vents are hidden under the front seats, just like in my 2006 Honda Accord. No issues in the 17 years that I owned it.
My issue with the EXL is the wheels are lame.
Thanks for the great review, what do you think of the color? What is the best color on a Honda Accord?

That’s so unfortunate cause the Camry XSE that I been looking at has a spare tire
Hey Tom Thank you for these reviews if I were in your area id be picking my car up from you! From California.
Nice review i had the 2022 2.0 and traded it for the same car and color it was worth it had for two months and got gas one time since no need to have a fast car if u cant drive it fast smh
I would be interested in the Touring model if it offers the 360 camera.

Picked mines up, sunday. Awsome car, I wish the outside trim poped a little more but the inside is plush.
It’s crazy cause i said the same thing about the last gen but it grew on me after awhile i think this car is the same
No rear vents… come on
Happy new year bro
Thank you, Nicolas! Happy New Year to you too!
Why the heck did they not put usb chargers or vents in the back?
Who cares about the back if u the driver lol Smdh people always try to find something to hate on
@@Regula07 u dumb, people have kids, friends or doing uber etc.
What’s the tint that you guys put on
This is a more mature design. Quite different from previous models.
Is it just me or was the exterior on the prev gen way better looking?
Not to me. It felt overstyled. I like the simplicity of this 11th gen. But then, I don’t like the Camry styling at all so YMMV.
Lo único malo de la velocidad en estos vehículos en México, es q las calles y avenidas lastiman mucho todos los elementos en el coche😢
How do you charge it?
It is not a plug-in hybrid. It does not require charging.
We just got the 2024 Accord EX the Sport model are definitely better than our 🥲
that a nice color!!

The EXL or touring will have the rear vents

Its not a suv it doesn’t take long to heat or cool off that car lol

very old style
Damn! Freaking ugly design from every damn angles! Skipping this model
I love Honda accords but the exterior is holding back. Gross!
Looks like a 2014. A Chevy Malibu looks better, and that car is bland.
Chevys are unreliable piece of trash. Don’t compare them with Honda 👌
Genuinely curious who the lead designer is for Honda
Yea, but some people like simplicity with a vehicle they know they can hand off to their children in 16 years
I think it looks great, it’s all just people’s opinion
Honestly doubt Hindas are still trending in that direction @@tylers.2069
