Yummy toadstools.
Love mushrooms
I love to dehydrate mushrooms and then I keep them in the freezer until I use them. My kids don’t like mushrooms so I grind them in my blender and add them to sauces. The flavor is amazing. 😊
Sounds so yummy! We REALLT need to get a dehydrator
Nice job..hope ya enjoyed them
That is awesome how you know what kind to pick! I love mushrooms! You have lots of yummyness! Hugs
We’ve been doing this for many years (at least 12!]
You guys have the gourmet food going on!
It definitely feels like it! I just put 4 batches of meatballs in the freezer, Clint is currently making 4 loaves of bread, and we already roasted two chickens this morning that we’ll debone and make broth with…it’s been a BUSY weekend, but our freezer is full of yummies!
Wow!!
Slice then peel. Much easier.
Thanks for the tip!
I like to freeze the giant puffball in slices. The skin retains its own taste and consistency better.
Do you then fry them up? We haven’t found any this year yet
I always freeze 2 slices in a freezer bag, they quickly defrost again, then I peel off the skin and then anything is possible. Schnitzel, pizza, with scrambled eggs. I also have recipes on my channel@@theramblincrafter
Amazing mushrooms! The first one looked like a big cheese when it was peeled, LOL. Thanks for sharing, biggest hugs!
That was so cool. When he sliced and raw, they looked like tofu slices! And then, after cooking them, they look like cauliflower! Lol
Would a potato peeler make it easier to clean these up?
No, the skin is too thick to use a peeler. Thankfully it was supper fast and easy!
If they have a yellow tinge are they still edible?
They should be pure white, if they are yellowing they are rotting, so I wouldn’t eat them
