The only blessing is I was able to cash in on Mage since he put such a good effort against Forte, but this whole Bob Baffert thing is getting ridiculous. Total jelaousy. Not every trainer knows what they are doing training a horse, in fact 75% of them just want to be at the track morning and only want day rate from their Naive owners. That's his own doing!!
Not crazy at all. They have that same type of midpack closing type style with a wicked turn of foot. Nysos had multiple line breedings to Secretariat actually, thru Storm Cat and Bernardini. Most of your Baffert stars are frontrunners. This guy can do it from back, and the middle or up front too. He has an amazing brain as well, super calm horse, a true push button freak.
Actually, Secretariat was drugged. This horse? No. Secretariat's vet admitted he was given steroids, which were actually legal at certain times just as Big Brown was receiving Stanolozol right that before the Derby legally. That is why Secretariat and Sham had such enlarged hearts, from all the anabolics steroids they were given. Secretariat was still a great horse but all horses back then were on steroids. You can't do that now a days tho, and if you're Baffert simple rash cream is treated like steroids as the east coast run media is so jealous of his winning. Believe it or not, Baffert doesn't "drug horses". There have been many investigations into him, wire taps, moles hired to enter his barn, and not one horse has ever been proven to be "drugged". Baffert is just an amazing life long horseman, blood stock agent and trainer.
@@mikerelva6915 What do you mean “no one horse has ever been proven to be drugged?” Medina Spirit was disqualified from his Derby win for a failed drug test. Justify should never have run in the Kentucky Derby since his qualifying win in the Santa Anita Derby was on drugs, per the post-race test. The results were not made public until after the Triple Crown. Interestingly, a number of people on the Santa Anita board that delayed the report had horses in training with Baffert. His horses have failed dozens of drug tests over the years, and roughly two dozen have dropped dead while under his care. There was a 60 Minutes episode about drugs in horse racing within the last year. Supposedly there is or soon will be a new federal agency tasked with removing drugs from racing. The industry leader being interviewed clearly viewed Baffert as a problem actor, though he’s not the only one.

That's ridiculous. And, that's not a race horse....it's a chemically induced animal running on fragile legs.....so fragile that the animal cannot run past the finish line....he has to be pulled up to save everything he has for next time. @@nannie2846 Run him hard? This horse will never run a hard race. Pulling a horse up at the finish is indicative of an issue and the overall weakness of the animal to extend itself. Baffert horses ran the last 2 years in the Kentucky Derby, once transferred to a different barn. If this colt proves to be among the best, he will run at Churchill Downs.

Probably not because White Abbario was running last year and he is a Dutrow horse. Time to get new owners for Churchill Downs. Can anyone name one trainer who hasn't had the dark cloud of a possible drug infraction hit their barn?
Why tho? The horses that have transferred have not done well. Switching a barn is super hard on a horse. Plus, CDI said two years and lied. This is all CDI fault. Can't blame the owners for doing what is best by the horse and staying loyal.
Even if this horse ran in the Kentucky Derby....he's not winning. Secretariat ran the Gotham 3 minutes faster against a field of real race horses. I felt the need to put things into perspective.
All of this is yet another black eye for racing....it makes a mockery of the current point system.. baffert has the goods.but not good policy to oiss off the almighty Churchill downs inc...wont surprise me to see him win more big time preps with this horse or several other good ones in his barn...then the points system is ruined because in reality they're probably running for second money... and points.. again Churchill downs...they really want to get out of the horse racing business and become a big casino....

Including White Abarrio’s trainer who just returned from a 10 year suspension. How is it that Baffert gets let off the hook time and time again?! I hate him!!!!
Why would he? 💀 It's was NON PERFORMANCE ENHANCING RASH CREAM. Are you even familiar with one single Baffert overage? EVERY trainer has had overages and contamination. It's literally impossible to prevent especially with modern sensitive testing The problem is people like you don't know about the details so you hear that a horse had a false positive for rash cream and you go on thinking that the guy was injecting hardcore anabolic steroids. Not one of Baffert's overages even registers under the new hisa thresholds. Ponder that. The guy is innocent, never did anything wrong and always followed the rules, but people like you are just brainwashed by his jealous enemies or have some bone to pick. What a shame.

Bob Baffert should be🎉 ruled off for life, as well as a few other "Top" trainers. He is being petty and selfish not to encourage his owners to seek another trainer for the triple crown series of races. Period.
Oh course, he doesn't care about racing or the other people in it, its all about him and all about them, nothing but pathetic. Ruins it for everyone else all because he can't stop drugging and killing horses, but somehow YOU are the problem for pointing that out...just because he wins....he wins because THEY ARE CHEATING! So all these, "Bob did his time" and "Bob is not that bad" people are just living in delusion. Meanwhile all those trainers who get destroyed by Bob who are not cheating, they can go FREAK themselves right? No one cares about them.....they can just sit down and take it up the behind from these selfish owners and trainers. The owners who keep letting him kill horses are part of the problem. Asked specifically whether anything was physically wrong with the Nyquist colt, Baffert said, “Fine.” He told TDN that the setback was “minor.”
Nysos was scratched the day before he was supposed to start March 3 at Santa Anita in the Grade 2 San Felipe, a race in which he would have been the odds-on favorite.
At the time, Baffert said, “Going to wait for the Santa Anita Derby. I changed my mind. All good.”
The 30-day downshift means the Santa Anita Derby (G1) on April 6 is out for Nysos, who has not had a timed workout since Feb. 25.
Owned by Baoma Corp, Nysos has not raced since Feb. 3, when he won the Robert B. Lewis (G3) and earned a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 105, according to Daily Racing Form.
He began his career with a maiden win Oct. 21 at Santa Anita and followed that with a victory Nov. 19 in the Bob Hope (G3) at Del Mar. Nysos has won his three races by an average of 8 3/4 lengths.
Since Baffert and, therefore, Nysos are ineligible to compete in Kentucky Derby 2024, the Preakness on May 18 has been seen as his main spring target.
Nysos closed as the 5-2 betting favorite in the first Preakness Future Wager conducted between Feb. 29 and March 2 by 1/ST Racing.

On to the Preakness!
LOL! Yes, I guess this would be his Preakness prep since we know he only has about 2 or 3 more races left him in. A 3 month rest will be exactly what he needs to go a mile and three sixteenths....then, another long rest until the Breeder's Cup....then on to glory and the hall of fame....he's just so great. Did you see him pass those exhausted sprinters....WOW!!!! What a race horse. Let's bronze him now. Why wait until the Preakness?

Once the again best horse won’t be in the Derby (and easily win the Derby)
Forte handled Mage easily last year in Florida.
The top trainers are way more meticulous than people think, and that’s because most horsemen on the backstretch never see it, so they assume the worst.

That's his own doing!!
I know everyone will think I’m a little crazy. But Nysos reminds me a bit of Secretariat, in the way he appears to love to run.
Was Secretariat drugged too?
@@johnhoie1 Maybe you are
Not crazy at all.
The industry leader being interviewed clearly viewed Baffert as a problem actor, though he’s not the only one.
medina spirit would've still won even without his rash cream. get over it, and have a nice day!

@@NalaRichenbach No concern for the colt's safety? Why run him hard when he has the race won? Sure glad you aren't a trainer, you would kill a horse!
@@garettgehring8681 Gearing ahorse down at the wire only tells me that the horse has issues. I remember when horses ran through the finish line and galloped out like real race horses. Secretariat never geared down near the wire in any of his races...even as a 2 year old. Big Red was always running past the finish. Today's great horses come to practically a stop at the finish line. That's ridiculous. And, that's not a race horse....it's a chemically induced animal running on fragile legs.....so fragile that the animal cannot run past the finish line....he has to be pulled up to save everything he has for next time. That does not sound like a great race horse.
@@nannie2846 Run him hard? This horse will never run a hard race. Pulling a horse up at the finish is indicative of an issue and the overall weakness of the animal to extend itself. If I was a trainer, I wouldn't want to train a horse that has to be pulled up at the finish line for fear of breaking down. The animal is not strong enough to be on the track.
They may wait to the last minute and change
Cant. Deadline passed. On to the Preakness unless CDI.atops lying and keeps to the promised two year ban.
Gee what a surprise. BB wins again.
OH YES, really big race against cheap sprinters. My Italian Greyhound could have run the race faster.
Baffert horses ran the last 2 years in the Kentucky Derby, once transferred to a different barn. If this colt proves to be among the best, he will run at Churchill Downs.
Kind of being hypocritical at Churchill downs when they will let his horses race if they get transferred from him before race day, then back to him afterwards! Churchill is a joke anymore.
@@nannie2846 I disagree that it is hypocritical, as the idea is to punish the trainer, not the innocent horse(s). You may think Churchill is a joke, but the KY Derby is still king. And lets not forget that the NYRA tried to suspend him too.
@@uncleblakey0777 so if as you say Baffert is juicing the horses, he can juice them right up until he transfers them, then if it's a substance that eliminates from the body quickly, no one is the wiser. LoL, yeah that works.

Need to pick another race to be the "triple crown". Same with the Oaks. Need to move them out of Kentucky. Will other trainers like Dutrow be disqualified? Probably not because White Abbario was running last year and he is a Dutrow horse. Time to get new owners for Churchill Downs. Can anyone name one trainer who hasn't had the dark cloud of a possible drug infraction hit their barn?
The owners do not have to be in Baffert's barn , there are many trainers for this amazing horse!
Why tho? The horses that have transferred have not done well. Switching a barn is super hard on a horse. Plus, CDI said two years and lied.
This is all CDI fault. Can't blame the owners for doing what is best by the horse and staying loyal.
@mikerelva6915 yeah you don't get the same drugs when you change barns
Even if this horse ran in the Kentucky Derby....he's not winning. Secretariat ran the Gotham 3 minutes faster against a field of real race horses. I felt the need to put things into perspective.
