Eddie was such a breath of fresh air in the 80s. Had the energy of Robin Williams but a razor sharp wit and amazing timing. He also took what Pryor had done and made it more palatable for a wide audience.
Then the 90s happened and beyond the Nutty Professor which was another classic, not really any classic movies...and then Shrek and so on but in the 80s, just awesome.

Several years ago, I found myself as a "person of interest" and everytime I pulled out of my driveway, there was my escort. Unfortunately for them I was a graduate of ESI (Executive Security International) in Aspen Colorado. It was actually good to use the skills that I paid good money to learn. On the downside, when the cops get consistently made to look incompetent, it just pisses them off. Thirteen years later the cold case squad solved the crime. Turns out that rather than being the guilty party, my testimony sent two people to prison for (1) murder and (2) accessory before, during and after the fact. The actual killer will never get out. But the accomplice may get out within the next 3 years for good behavior.

@@Sight-Beyond-Sight The movie came out in 1984. We use to rent them on VHS about a year later. You must be younger than me. When DVDs came out and the prices started dropping I bought over 300 movies. Beverly Hills Cops is one of them. Anything on TV with commercials, butchers them.

@@Sight-Beyond-Sight You could mid 80's, but it was not cost effective. Movies that are $5.00 to today, would run $100.00-$150.00. I know I was stupid enough to pay that money for a very few movie.
