Very helpful video. My 95 maxima is leaking near where the back timing cover meets the engine block, and I was told it could be the O-rings. where are those O-rings located please?

Awesome vid! Trying to gather as much info. before I dismantle my 3.5. Would have been nice to see you put the the silicone on! Do you only apply it where the groves are? Thanks!

Question: how did you get the crank shaft rubber piece to stay in place? I already used up a bottle of rtv because I had to take the cover off so many times

Hello, I dont know if you can help me. I didn't take my valve covers off to do the timing chain and guides on my 2007 maxima....but now while trying to move the crank to TDC i felt the cams jump several teeth on the chain. Now i'm not quite sure how to get it back in to correct alignment! Please can you give me some direction on what to do? will i have to take the valve covers off? and then what?

Hello, Im doing the complete timing chain, guides, and tried water pump, BUT IT WONT BUDGE....i've taken out all the bolts out but the pump wont move. I've even given it a couple wacks with a hammer but still won't budge. I didn't want to hit to hard in case i need to put it back together with old pump. any ideas how to get the pump out? thought about putting a metal stand under it and lower the car slowly let its own force break it out....but i'm not sure if it might bend something inside....confused!!!!

Hi Richard, I sure will when I run across one. Many of the Nissans are pretty similar though.

Help!!! Any advice? My mom just towed her 2000 Maxima to my garage. The bolt hole on the rear timing chain cover that holds alternator broke completely off. Half of the threads left, open and no way to attach alternator back on. I've done some pretty serious jobs before, but I don't know what my options are here. Check out pic of the broken thread hole here. photos.app.goo.gl/2UurzdsISD8Lb22Z2
    Thanks for any feedback!
