thankyou doctor your explication is very helpful , this is my first year in ophtalmology and i am little bit confused with the lectures but your explication really helped me a lot thankyouu doctor your channel is very helpful i hope you continue posting your fabulous explication , with all my respect .
Great video! However, I don't understand one thing. Why the axis of the correction cylinder has to be perpendicular to the plane where we want to give the power?
It is Because the power of lens is perpendicular to its axis ..so if you want to correct vertical power the axis of lens should be horizontal so that the power of lens is in vertical direction
Thank you Dr, please I have a question .. why patients who are having against the rule astigmatism are more tired compare to with the rule astigmatism .. ?
Great video! However, I don't understand one thing. Why the axis of the correction cylinder has to be perpendicular to the plan where we want to give the power?
It is because of the geometrical structure of the cylinder... A Cylinderical lens is derived from a cylinder in which The curved has the power... And the axis is a line drawn through the centre of the cylinder..
Mam you are excellent & thanks you for explaining Toughest things in easiest manner. Thax for your great work.
Thank you 😊
Soo,lovely
Brilliant ❤

You are a superb teacher.
Why are we talking about only 2 principle meridians in astigmatism types...there are multiple meridians at different angles in eye...???
astigmatism, we focus on two principal meridians because they represent the maximum and minimum refractive powers of the cornea or lens
This is awesome mam 💚.. need a topic on myopia plzz.
