Wow, this is a great idea. I have some old bibles that I didn't know what to do with them, but I could not make myself throw them away. Now I can do this binder and use them as a special gift to those special people in my life.
You can donate Bibles that are in decent condition to local ministries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens and such. Even thrift stores that give away Bibles. I wouldn't donate Bibles, to such organizations, that are heavily personalized. Especially that have covered the scriptures with art work, mementoes and other personal materials. Someone in your family or a friend may like those.
I have found a local printer who will cut the spines off some of my books for devotional/Bible journaling. I have had them also spiral bind them for me. Cost is minimal and always comes out symmetrical.
If you have limited strength in your hands or dexterity issues it's easier to heat the glue with a hairdryer on the hottest setting, the pages just come off without much effort, when the glue hardens again just keep heating it until your done.
We used to own a storage facility. We had auctions almost every month on units that weren't being paid for. We would go through the units before the auctions and I have soooo many Bibles and it's just awesome bcuz they r all different and some r very old. I will keep some of them but now I can do this with the rest and give them away.
I got a big Guillotine paper cutter that will cut the spine off a huge bible clean and crisp from Amazon. I use it to turn other books, devotional, etc into a binder ring and journal making. It’s my understanding that you can have this same thing don’t for very little at many office supply and mail service stores.
I love this idea, and I also like the idea of going round the charity shops and reclaiming any Bibles or New or Old Testaments and giving them a new lease of life. :) All I need to do now is find a 3 hole punch lol.
You can add another pocket to the front and back of your notebook by cutting a slit across the plastic above the factory made pocket. Maybe a couple inches above the pocket!!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I kept my first bible, ( The Living Bible; The Way) that is falling apart and have been searching for how I could repair it without having people at an office store do it. So simple!
Love this..I have an old bible that was coming apart at the seams anyway so I definetly will be doing this. It gives me a lot more notes and writing flexibility
I was interested to see how you did this. I have done individual books before, by copying them from a computer Bible into my word processing program, but never an entire testament. It is very handy to have them loose leaf and have the ability to add pages for notes.
Thank you for the demonstration of how to do this. I have a Chronological Bible that has been well loved and I have been thinking of how I can safe it rather than buying a new one. I will need to put it into two binders. I am thinking 3 inch binders because I want to turn it into a journaling Bible. Thank you again for the tutorial.
I love this!!!!! It doesn’t seem hard at all. Can you do a process in this one day? Very creative!! Love the save Bibles from the land fill.🤗 I will try this. It is cost effective as well. Thank you for sharing.
I’m at an appt. right now, but I can’t wait to leave & hunt down a Bible on the way home to make a loose leaf one from!!🥰 Thx for the great idea, Terry Y.
FYI--I always write scriptures on the pages, front and back, any blank space. Verses that I want to see quickly, if I witness to someone, or want to remember a scripture...
Thank you God bless you your family and your friends you have a wonderful fantastic awesome bless safe beautiful day wherever you are enjoy the rest of your day God love you and I love you 😊
It looks more like a magazine than a Bible . Why does the Bible you used have crossword puzzles and things? Does it have actual timelines and thhings. Oh maybe it’s an old kids Bible from years ago.
Hi my name is Kim and I watched for the first time yesterday your video on Bible journaling. I went to my local Dollar Tree searching for the notbook /binder but was unsuccessful. I was told those binders come out in June and school has already started. I was so excited as I watched your video and was hopeful but now not so much. Can you send me the ISB number to that Bie so that I may be able to locate it and purchase it.
Not any that I know of, but anything is possible :) My grandmother was in Oklahoma during the Great Depression and then moved to California with her family.

I agree - it's really nice!
I’ve always wanted a loose leaf bible but I could only find the great big ones, I’m so excited to get a loose leaf at last. Thank you so much
This is a super great idea! Now I want to transfer one of my Bibles into a spiral binding! 😃 TFS!

I love this idea. I have the KJV on pdf that I will have printed at Kinkos. Then insert it.
This is pretty neat!! For the versions with tight inner margins.. maybe page protectors?
Great idea!

Thank you so much, I am doing this. This gives me so many options. Hugs.
Wonderful!
I’m planning to do this after putting a devotional on discs.
A blow dryer will loosen the glue if you ever decide that you do want to keep those end/ title pages.
FYI--I always write scriptures on the pages, front and back, any blank space. Verses that I want to see quickly, if I witness to someone, or want to remember a scripture...
Good idea!
Thanks for the info Tracy. Am off to the shops to get what I need....🤓😇
Woo hoo!!!
Use a hair dryer to heat the glue on the spine and the pages will separate easily.
Thank you for this video!
Love this! I refer to multiple Bible versions to get a better understanding
Tyfs honey! xoxo

What is the isb # on the illustrated coloring bible…I had a hard time finding it
Thank you for this good idea!
Where did you get your hole punch, please? I would love to get one like that.
I absolutely love the idea, but is bible paper not too thin for a busy life in a ring binder?
It's pretty thin, I'm very careful :)
This is an amazing idea! Thank you.
This is a great idea. Does anyone know how long it would take to do this?
What a great idea!
Thank you!
Thanks for this demo
I love loose leaf Bibles
Awesome!
I love this idea!
Thank you! :)
Love,love this IDEA! Plus 10
Thank you!
Are you gonna eventually make a full old and new testaments bible
Probably. I have quite a few Bibles including a few spiral ones that have both, so I'm not in too much of a hurry.
Nice, great idea.
It looks more like a magazine than a Bible . Why does the Bible you used have crossword puzzles and things? Does it have actual timelines and thhings. Oh maybe it’s an old kids Bible from years ago.
She literally said that 😭 it's an old kids illustration bible she found at Goodwill
