Good narration. Same for the footage. I wish I got to see that Warbonnet in person. Quick note, the locals in Hahira pronounce it as hay-hi-ra. The town has even been mentioned in a few Ray Stevens songs.
Another great video Christian. Your detailed narration is much appreciated. FYI-those two BNSF leaders were not repainted but factory-delivered in the “swoosh” scheme. In the West the slang term for them is “pumpkins”. These also were not dash 9’s but ES44C4’s - 4,400 hp with 6-axle trucks but only 4 AC traction motors per truck. (A-1-A)
Right, I was referencing the paint as newer than the warbonnet’s, as the old santa fe locomotive hasn’t seen a new paint job in decades. And yes, those two pumpkins leading 323 are new locomotives.
249 is actually a Low Priority Intermodal, because there would be at times I would get off from work and he would be waiting in the Siding to meet other train's.
That doesn't make a lower priority train. NS in south Georgia and Florida has less used routes that are all controlled by the GS&F dispatcher. Sometimes trains have to meet other trains, and it takes longer than expected. It's a common railroad scene
The Georgia Florida Railroad has 2 Line's, The one in Spark's run's to Albany, Georgia they don't run much except to swap power over to The Foley Line In Downtown which run's from Adel, GA to Foley, FL.
Thanks! Part 2 was uploaded on Sunday and covers the CSX from Fitzgerald to Cordele. In Part 3 we will make it up to Oglethorpe, but we'd only catch a CSX train there. From what a CSX foreman told me in Montezuma, NS only sees two trains a day over that diamond, with a thrice weekly local. So, on a good day 3 - 4 trains on NS, with 30+ on CSX.
Awesome video 💯
Great video❤
Awesome catches! BNSF Warbonnets are cool

@@multicolorfilms if the “warbonnet’s” are ever repainted (likely not) they will be painted with the H-1 scheme. (You can look it up)
Chula, GA is at The Milepost 98G, The Location where 55-V/151 Meet was set at was Scyamore/Ashburn, Georgia. Scyamore is at The 90G.
Correct, however the meet occurred in Chula. I didn't include it in the video, but the GS&F dispatcher explained the meet over the radio.

Ah thanks for that, I was curious to know what they did in Sparks, considering their interchange is in Albany. Thanks!
The GS&F dispatcher also likes to sing over the raido alot
So I've heard
Great video! Are you moving north in pt2? I'm interested in what trains NS runs through Oglethorpe. The internet is not a lot of help. Thanks.
