Awesome catch! Will you cover the Florida central railroad on the channel?
I actually did in December, uploaded a little after Christmas
Great angles and great takes, especially from winter haven
Much appreciated
Entertaining as well as informative. As usual Christian, great work!
Many thanks Paul!
Official artist channel? 👀
it's definitely a mistake, my distributer got the channels mixed up lmao. However, yes I do make and release music, you can find it on instagram and Spotify as "Ashetone"
5:50 HOT MOVE HOT MOVE, its always funny to see tiny trains like that, but then again my territory has taken a 5-10 car "HOT MOVE" train with critical "Shutdown" cars for one of the industries here a few times lol
I bet it's a nice treat for the crew, no slack to run out of it lol
L792-looks like they had strung a temporary air line around that hopper closest to the power. L729-love it! Winter Haven depot/very nicely maintained! Overall a very nice day indeed-thanks for taking us along Christian.
Anytime Bill, more adventures to come!
Great video!!!❤
I like your channel. I like your videos. They are very nice.
I like this comment, thanks!
👍👍
Watching these videos makes me want to be less lazy about RUclips 😅. You really do a great job with everything, the pacing, editing, voice over etc. Up there with Danny AKA Distant Signal if you ask me. Keep it up!
Many thanks!
Great Video! Brought back good memories. I grew up in Sarasota and the late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s were my railfanning years. I witnessed the last run of the Sarasota Switcher under CSX and the first week of SGLR operations. Looks like that little railroad has grown up some.
Yes they have, that’s cool to hear. What were the operations like in Sarasota for CSX? Where’d they start/end their days?
Two locals worked out of Bradenton in the 70’s and early 80’s. One would work customers south of Fruitville Road to Venice and the other would work customers on the former ACL truncated at Whitfield Road after the SAL/ACL merger. The freight depot stood on Fruitville Road across the street from the passenger depot and the REA building was across the street to the north of the passenger depot. The crews would often interchange cars in the small yard that was located between Fruitville Road and 8th Street, all gone now unfortunately, but SGLR still uses the former ACL coach yard at the wye for trans loading. Everything started going downhill with the completion of interstate 75 and trucks began delivering more. I live in Georgia now and while CSX, NS and Amtrak run through the city I miss local railroading and the friendly slower pace. Keep making your videos, your doing a great job!
@@markmead2813 Wow, great info! I appreciate the comments, you'll like the new video coming out tonight!
3:58 I love the alternating ditch lights! 👍
So do I, thanks for watching!
Despite living in Jacksonville my whole life I never get out and railfan. Thanks for sharing! You had some nice finds!
Much appreciated sir! Get out there, there’s lots to see!
Good stuff. I liked your commentary and good level of detail. Put the order of things on this line better in my head. Thanks.
Much appreciated, that’s what it’s all about!
The reason why a few trains get an EC-1 to go over Massachusetts Ave when those gates failed was because the failure would not appear on their train orders as it was just reported. If there was a train that would be heading down the carters sub and went on duty between P091 reporting it and signals dept. fixing it, they would automatically get that EC-1 line 6A as a Dispatcher bulletin. We also have to blow the standard crossing horn sequence for any activation failure or False/Partial Activation, even in quiet zones. (Much to the annoyances of the local Karens lol) EC-1's are a versatile form as a dispatcher can give me track authority, Speed restrictions, Dispatcher Bulletin annulments, or other instructions using one kind of form instead of me having to have 3-4 different books of forms for different kinds of messages.
That makes so much sense, thanks sir! You work for CSX?
@@multicolorfilms Yep, Ex-Clinchfield territory currently.
@@Messicrafter How cool, I'd love to go up there in the winter time for some photography
So you were one of them that was chasing us that week…..
Your comment reminded me I forgot to. I binged this with my barbecue dinner last week. I enjoyed every bit of this journey I wasn’t asleep for. What a nice cot. Do not let him know.
Twas a nice cot, “laid out” as some would say. Thanks for coming along, and for the smoothies, Jacona. Can’t wait to wet the whistle on saturday 😼
Very Well done I'm a 25 + year Engineer i have worked all over the US I applied there in 2003 but just couldn't get the $ Right I now live in Naples an I have hours an hours of cab ride videos that you may enjoy from Indiana to Oregon an lot's in between you may be able to clean them up an use then there all on vhs an vhsc tapes in good shape for there age 😊😊

Excellent Video!!!
Very Nice Video!! I hope we could meet up one day!!
There’s always a chance…
Awesome story Christian Hope you might like to come see the Tri-Cities Region someday to check out
Who knows, maybe one day. Thanks for watching
That RS3L horn on the 593 sounds great reminds me of the GP40-2’s & GP38-2’s on the FEC railway but I know the RS3L horns were common on Conrail. keep up the good work dude👍
I agree, it's a treat to hear - thanks for watching!
Between the content and production quality your videos are some of the best out there
Many, many thanks man, I love your stuff just as much!
Enjoyed seeing someone capture the Seminole Gulf. I know it's not as busy as the sexier lines around the Tampa area, but I've been wanting to see either you or Kotabeaner or Danny Harmon do a video on this line. The Punta Gorda depot recognizes the horrible Jim Crow era by maintaining the signs "WHITE" and "COLORED" above 2 exterior doors on its north side. It angered me to see it when I first moved to the area, but it also reminded me of how far we've come since then, and then angered me again to be reminded that some politicians are still trying to divide us by race (and other categories) so they can get votes. Also, I highly recommend the Murder Mystery Train out of Fort Myers. Been on it twice now with my wife. Excellent food, and entertaining mysteries played out car by car.
Much appreciated sir! I'll look into the dinner train next time I'm over there
Rays so bad he switched to the marlins 😂 Great vid
Hey it matched the fit (I'll never forsake my rays)
20:46 what an idiot! Great video as always!
Excellent coverage there Christian. Ian’s impact not only washed out the Caloosahatchee bridge, but also the Peace River bridge north of Arcadia. Before Ian they wisely positioned some power in the Arcadia yard. However the yard flooded so they had to replace the traction motors on the locomotives. The row south of Arcadia also had numerous washouts between Arcadia and Punta Gorda. Great shots of the beautiful Punta Gorda depot. On August 15 the full route of the Murder Mystery Dinner Train resumed traveling north to Tuckers Grade. Perhaps I missed it but those gondolas are loaded with rip rap being used to rebuild the Sanibel Island causeway. The CSX symbols for the connection to the Seminole Gulf at Arcadia are L 850 north (tues, fri) and L 851 south (mon, thurs) to/from Mulberry
You didn't miss much, thanks for the information! Ian's story is something else, glad all is back in order and running smoothly
You're either the biggest SGLR railfan on the planet, or you work for them. Either way, excellent info!👍
@@paulw4310 It's funny, I really didn't know much about it going into it, lots of research and some very helpful history books helped with the making of this
@@multicolorfilms Well, at any rate...well done!👍
Awesome video Christian!! Hit me up next time you’re in my area :)
Thanks Alex, will do
You’re welcome :) anytime!!
Great video, as always❤
As always, great stuff, Christian. After Ian took out the track across the Caloosahatchee I was concerned about SGLR's survival. Thankfully, they hung tough! PS The stupidity of some drivers is mind-blowing.🤡
Ha trust me, I know first hand. I'm also extremely glad SGLR was able to survive, I doubt its success on this line without their Sarasota branch.
@@multicolorfilms Yep...me too; as in daily first hand experience, and it only seems to be getting worse. Agreed. I have no doubt that the Sarasota branch, short as it is, kept them afloat!
Awsome 😎
Very good film & railroad documentary. 👍
Very good comment, thanks
What’s the address to get to this train yard I wanna Railfan and take vids anyone have any idea
It’s 6th St off of Orient Rd in Tampa. Beware of the strict trespassing signs however
@@multicolorfilms does the trains go to Jacksonville
@@theoutdoorchannel9283 Yes, the intermodal out of Tampa terminates in Jax.
@@multicolorfilms ahh I see thanks brother

It’s a goodie
good to see 8330 running again 😁
You can say that again
Great video!! What camera do you use?, it looks amazing
Thanks, Lumix GH5
So random. I grew up in Lutz and now live in Birmingham. Great video.
How cool is that! I like this area, but west of Birmingham has been calling my name since we left
Thanks for talking us to Chicagoland. You’re always full of facts in Florida and Georgia which I appreciate being a new-bee to CSX territory. Please allow me to amplify and correct some of your statements. BNSF triple-track mainline (BNSF Chicago Sub)is important to BNSF freight operations but the former ATSF Chillicothe Sub carries far more tonnage in/out of Chicagoland. The Chicago Sub handles traffic to/from the Pacific Northwest, Galesburg classification, unit trains (coal, crude oil, ethanol, grain) Also 8 Amtrak trains per day.BNSF train symbols: the eb manifest was either H GALBRC or H NTWBRC (Galesburg or Northtown to the Belt Railway clearing yard)(not to Cicero). Based on the time of day, eb intermodal was Z SSE CHC(South Seattle-Chicago Cicero. The wb intermodal was Z CHCSSE (Chicago Cicero-South Seattle). There are no container ports for ocean-going ships on Lake Michigan. The Sioux Locks are too small to handle container ships. If you return to Chicago and want to watch trains safely, in the downtown area, the Roosevelt Road overpass just south of Union Station is a great spot.
Wow, all is much appreciated! I'll keep an eye out if another opportunity comes around
BTW the 2nd-best Midwest location for trains is Kansas City and Southwest goes there nonstop from TPA. Many spots to watch rail traffic without wheels. Check out their free downtown trolley
Hey, out of curiosity, do you know what time the juice train departs Bradenton during the week?
Could be anywhere between 7am and 12. They have a weird schedule, sometimes tying down for the morning, or just turning and burning outta there.
Im only 10mins north of Birmingham. I live in Morris rite by gardendale if anyone knows Alabama. There's an old train trussle down here thats not used anymore but u have to drive under it and it's so cool it's so old looking and rickety. Js be careful filming in bham. You'll get shot or mugged. Bham is shit now compared to what it.used to be. We're the 3rd most dangerous city in the U.S. or was. I feel sorry for u if u stayed in a bham hotel. How many shots did u hear?
What about O800 and O825/O925 Phosphate trains?
Those were abolished ages ago
Oh. So there is no daily Phosphate trains anymore in plant city correct?
@@SignalMan9292 Unfortunately no
I see. I am making a plant city game in roblox and was wondering. I will probably keep them anyway
29:55 thats actually not an intermodal train, its 11T, a unit loaded trash train that just carries trash inside old intermodal containers.
Thanks for the info man
You are very good narrator 🥰💞✨
As a person from Birmingham, I still don't really understand why they renovated the Amtrak station building but didn't even touch the platforms
The bottom is nice, that’s about it
@@multicolorfilms exactly, doesn't really give the best first impression for people visiting the city via the train 😂
The North Antelope Coal mine is in Gillette, Wyoming. It’s part of several mines also known as “Powder River Basin.”
Many thanks
good video dawg
LET HIM COOK CHAT🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Weeds or flowers? Well, the difference is mainly where they're growing. Whenever a plant is growing where someone doesn't want them, they magically turn into weeds. That's pretty well all there is to it. Even dandelions are flowers, they aren't liked because they proliferate with such ease, and end up growing where people don't want them to. BTW, i like your production quality. You have a knack for this.
Many thanks, lovely comment
there’s tons of trains here
