But the Control Panel is one of MechaGodzilla’s weaknesses and the Mutos would interfere with the control panel. Even if the control panel didn’t shut Mecha Godzilla down it would stun him for several seconds allowing the Muto to get the upper hand in a fight

Jared Krichevsky the artist for MG 2021 said on an AMA that it was not EMP proof. So Yepp it would be weak to those blasts. However it’s not like MG couldn’t be upgraded to resist that one attack.
APEX would probably make sure the EMP would useless or less effective on Mechagodzilla since they probably would hand combat data on the MUTO species and ensure Mechagodzilla would not be disabled so easily but since it isn’t confirmed YET by the directors if APEX made Mechagodzilla immune or resistant to the EMP blast then who knows
No such thing as Anti EMP weaponry. If the weapons are electrical you either protect appliances or you expose it to emps. Since MUTO prime's emps have stated to have longer range it'll knock off everything electrical

Few things: -MUTO Prime lacks a EMP blast. -She has evolved Seismic attacks (the Earthquake punch that sent Godzilla flying, and the Sonic Roar that broke Godzilla’s dorsal plates) to specifically counter Godzilla’s superior physical strength and Atomic Breath. -the MUTO Prime is shorter than Godzilla’s 2014 height, but weighs 135,000 tons. -blunt force trauma could break through MUTO Prime’s armor.

It honestly depends on if the Muto's EMP has any effect on Mechagodzilla because Mechagodzilla pretty much stomps with ease in any other category unless of course it is affected by the EMP but given how Apex built it to be the ultimate kaiju killer, most likely they planted some anti-EMP devices in mechagodzilla's systems to fight against the Mutos if it ever came to be. Just my opinion tho
Well, if this story were to be written, it's obvious from GvK that Apex had designed MechaG to destroy all the Titans, not just Gman. So, it would stand to reason Apex would study the fights big G had against the Mutos. And since EMP hardening is available tech to militaries around the world today, I can't see Apex leaving such a glaring weakness built into their mecha titan. Indeed, the only way mechaG was beaten in the movie, was no one anticipated Godzilla and Kong combining their abilities to take down the beast, namely Godzillas atomic breath, and Kong's axe combined with his rage strength boost.
And even then mechagodzilla was able to power through a emp that was connected to him without lasting damage he was still going to kill kong and godzilla until the powered axe I think mechagodzilla would crush muto prime.
I think that by the time of GvK the research into MUTO biology would have been quite advanced since 2014. With that in mind, I think APEX would have certainly looked into ways of combating all of the previously unknown attacks they were capable of and integrated them into Mechagodzilla. And with Gidorah’s mad rampant quest to conquer all placed in the AI, that’s going to be even more than any MUTO could probably handle.
@@tau-5794 Well, in one of the clips where that one kid poured some liquid on Mecha’s pilot computer, it stunned Mecha for a few seconds before it regained consciousness once again. Of course, that is small compared to an EMP, but Mecha still came back to its senses seconds later. If it can regain its conscious after its computer pilot is disrupted in mere seconds, then I’m sure it can do the same when hit with an EMP. It’ll most likely take longer, but Mecha would come back eventually.
Definitely agree with the outcome, The Mutos would definitely lose, I even believe That Mecha wouldnt lose the Proton scream against them, it would just be significantly weakened, however, I definitely agree that Muto Primes EMP would nearly shut Mecha down completely, leaving him barely able to fight, so MUTO prime wins

I think you're underestimating the EMP ability of even the normal MUTOs. Nevermind modern electronics, their EMP is specifically designed to combat and shut down the energy type that powers Godzilla. This is the exact same type of energy that is used to power MechaGodzilla, as the hollow earth radiation has an identical signature to Godzilla's. The MUTO EMP would completely shut down MechaGodzilla entirely. Their EMP ability is MechaGodzilla's kryptonite.
That does make a lot of sense but with how much technology has advanced by gvk I would say the Anti-EMP tech would also be considerably stronger to the point that it might render the MUTO EMP useless, not saying your wrong but this battle would have to occur to see if MG21 would actually be shut down from it, MG21 was made to kill titans so I figure it would contain such technology (since MUTOs were a threat in 2014) just my little theory on it

He was designed rather specifically to combat Godzilla, not necessarily all the Titans, and I doubt he has measures to counter every single Titan's unique abilities, such as the EMP. I would normally agree if it made more sense. The sample given to Mechagodzilla was far more powerful than what Godzilla was capable of, or as it would appear. Just that tiny amount killed the pilot and gave Mechagodzilla complete control over his own body while maintaining a grip on his programming, not to mention we're talking about a machine that isn't even an actual machine. It's literally a head of Ghidorah making it's own choices at will while sticking to programming all from one little sample in hollow earth. Shutting down Mechagodzilla as a whole is a different story, but I do believe it could shut down most if not all weapons in the body, possibly even the jets, making it a less effective foe.
The Muto EMP ability is virtually useless when used against organic life forms. But when used on technology especially against mechanical weapons, it’s a completely different story.

I do think that mechagodzilla is clearly more powerful than any of the MUTOs, including the MUTO prime, but the EMP of the MUTO species would give any MUTO a chance against Mechagodzilla. I think mechagodzilla beats any of the MUTO species.
We have to take into account that the mecha was meant to kill Titans and Barb was one of those Titans and she has those same abilities as the mutos so it would have to be resistant to EMP this to be able to fight her so yeah I think it wouldn't be much of a fight really

You need to first understand that mechagodzilla is not just built to kill godzilla, but all the titans. He should have muto emp database and should have a counter attack

It was made to combat the single strongest lifeform on Earth, if it can do that, the humans expect it to overpower every other titan. And the Mutos are near extinct, there is only one (the one from the end of 2019) that is alive, and that one was defeated by Godzilla prior to the events of GvK. First minute in thoughts: Atomic bombs release an electromagnetic pulse. Godzilla's atomic breath must also release some sort of electromagnetic pulse, and mechagodzilla didn't shut down when Godzilla used his atomic breath, so we have to assume there's built in emp protection, to some degree. On top of that, it was made to combat the titans. It's not as if they had to guess whether or not some undiscovered titan might have an emp attack, they knew for certain that was a power of MUTOs, so I can't imagine them not taking that into account. I honestly doubt the fight would even be close since they would have had to straight up discard a vital piece of information about titans for their titan killer in the design phases.
Godzilla atomic breath doesn't release emp it's just radiation and other things mg energy is the same as godzillas energy so when mutos do there emp mg is going to be shut down completely giving the mutos time to attack and destroy it

Even now, we have systems that can resist an EMP outright, especially in the military. And obviously APEX would know this information and be prepared for that, just from the first MUTOs. Movies are great and all, but taking creative license with things that are simply unreal, is a problem most of us vets have, that worked on such systems. Absolutely nothing would shut down on Mecha, from an EMP... Also I reread my copy Godzilla Aftershock, after someone pointed it out, that MUTO Prime is NOT known to have an EMP at all. And in the book, it does not have an EMP, so this entire video is wrong

I believe that the EMP would only minorly effect Mechagodzilla. It may have a weaker Proton Scream but most of its systems would still work, as he's not electrical but entirely powered by the Hollow Earth energy. Even without its other weapons its physical strength was able to overpower both Godzilla and Kong independently, so I think Mechagodzilla would pretty easily kill the two smaller MUTOs and even Prime.
Only way mecha Godzilla could beat muto prime is if he either managed to escape it and repair itself, then continue attacking, or kill it before it uses its EMP

I think you're underestimating the EMP ability of even the normal MUTOs. Nevermind modern electronics, their EMP is specifically designed to combat and shut down the energy type that powers Godzilla. This is the exact same type of energy that is used to power MechaGodzilla, as the hollow earth radiation has an identical signature to Godzilla's. The MUTO EMP would completely shut down MechaGodzilla entirely. Their EMP ability is MechaGodzilla's kryptonite.
That does make a lot of sense but with how much technology has advanced by gvk I would say the Anti-EMP tech would also be considerably stronger to the point that it might render the MUTO EMP useless, not saying your wrong but this battle would have to occur to see if MG21 would actually be shut down from it, MG21 was made to kill titans so I figure it would contain such technology (since MUTOs were a threat in 2014) just my little theory on it
@@marcovalencia146 Well I disagree. I don't think MechaGodzilla has any special anti-EMP abilities. He was designed rather specifically to combat Godzilla, not necessarily all the Titans, and I doubt he has measures to counter every single Titan's unique abilities, such as the EMP. That's my belief anyways.

I would normally agree if it made more sense. The sample given to Mechagodzilla was far more powerful than what Godzilla was capable of, or as it would appear. Just that tiny amount killed the pilot and gave Mechagodzilla complete control over his own body while maintaining a grip on his programming, not to mention we're talking about a machine that isn't even an actual machine. It's literally a head of Ghidorah making it's own choices at will while sticking to programming all from one little sample in hollow earth. Shutting down Mechagodzilla as a whole is a different story, but I do believe it could shut down most if not all weapons in the body, possibly even the jets, making it a less effective foe.
The Muto EMP ability is virtually useless when used against organic life forms. But when used on technology especially against mechanical weapons, it’s a completely different story.

@@shaanvinoth9277 That is not confirmed. From the movie, its said that Mechagodzilla is meant to be Godzilla's equal, and superior. It was made to combat the single strongest lifeform on Earth, if it can do that, the humans expect it to overpower every other titan.
And the Mutos are near extinct, there is only one (the one from the end of 2019) that is alive, and that one was defeated by Godzilla prior to the events of GvK.

First minute in thoughts:
Atomic bombs release an electromagnetic pulse. Godzilla's atomic breath must also release some sort of electromagnetic pulse, and mechagodzilla didn't shut down when Godzilla used his atomic breath, so we have to assume there's built in emp protection, to some degree.
On top of that, it was made to combat the titans. It's not as if they had to guess whether or not some undiscovered titan might have an emp attack, they knew for certain that was a power of MUTOs, so I can't imagine them not taking that into account.
I honestly doubt the fight would even be close since they would have had to straight up discard a vital piece of information about titans for their titan killer in the design phases.
Godzilla atomic breath doesn't release emp it's just radiation and other things mg energy is the same as godzillas energy so when mutos do there emp mg is going to be shut down completely giving the mutos time to attack and destroy it

Even now, we have systems that can resist an EMP outright, especially in the military. And obviously APEX would know this information and be prepared for that, just from the first MUTOs. Movies are great and all, but taking creative license with things that are simply unreal, is a problem most of us vets have, that worked on such systems. Absolutely nothing would shut down on Mecha, from an EMP... Also I reread my copy Godzilla Aftershock, after someone pointed it out, that MUTO Prime is NOT known to have an EMP at all. And in the book, it does not have an EMP, so this entire video is wrong

I believe that the EMP would only minorly effect Mechagodzilla. It may have a weaker Proton Scream but most of its systems would still work, as he's not electrical but entirely powered by the Hollow Earth energy. Even without its other weapons its physical strength was able to overpower both Godzilla and Kong independently, so I think Mechagodzilla would pretty easily kill the two smaller MUTOs and even Prime.
One would think that Simmons and Apex would have taken the Muto EMP into account when developing Mechagodzilla.
