Thank you so much for this. I looked at the panel on mine and was confused from the start. Fingers crossed it’s not raining tomorrow so I can replace my globes!
This definitely helps out a lot. I had a 2011 Chevy Malibu and on those you had to literally remove the whole front bumper just to get to the bottom bolt to remove the headlight. Thank you for your video. Really helped out my friend with her car.
I will try to do this myself tomorrow in the garage instead of taking it to the shop. I have no patience when it comes to this type of thing but after watching this video, I think I can do it. I just replaced one of the back bulbs and that was pretty simple. Thanks for the video
Hi. Wonderful video by the way... I was just trying to figure out that does the projector work for High beam or the reflector work for High beam....? Pls answer
just replaced both headlamp bulbs after watching this helpful video...problem is, it's currently 10 degrees here and every one of those plastic retainers snapped and broke when removing them .....I can't find exact replacements at my local auto parts store...I wish GM would have just used simple screws......anyone know what these plastic fasteners are called and where I might be able to order these...thanks....
@@diykhan That's what I was using, but there isn't enough of a gap between the inner part that pops up first and the outer part to fit it in there at all. It's snug.
@@diykhan And the 2 scrivets that you needs a screwdriver to get it out just spin and won't come up. And now one is broke and I think stuck in there. This sucks lol.
100% agreed. My scrivets would not come out and the deep screw at 5:23 is such a pain. I dread every time I have to change these bulbs. Why couldn't they just have an open design like most other cars where you can just open the bonnet and twist the cap off with your hand? No need for all these tools for a job that should take less than 5 minutes.

Merci beaucoup pour ce partage. Je vais de suite remplacer une lampe
Great presentation! You showed us the "surprisess" that crop up in a job like this. Marking the brakets was a great idea!

You are welcome thanks
@@diykhan do you now if is it H4 or H7 ?
Same question, H4 H7 what bulb?
H4 has three legs n h7 has two. It's been a while since I did this job so I m extremely sorry for not remembering.
Good video, however before putting the headlight back in you should check to see that it works.
What are the bulb sizes for high and low?

What do I do if those scrivets are stuck and won't come out that easily?
Try using a small flat head screwdriver

@@dustinbumgarner117 try digging out from the sides of the scrivets. If no luck then brake them n u can buy new ones from any decent auto part shop.
@@diykhan Been trying that. It took an hour to get 2 out. Plus I broke that other one and it's stuck in there.
Great
Wait till you have to replace the shifter cable bushing and assembly what a pain in the butt
Big guy in the house
Almost as bad as citroens bulbs :')
True
Hands down the worst car I've ever seen in my life. Just changed the bulb and it took forever. Terrible, terrible design.
Yes I agree. They made it too complicated.
