Gucci gardenia is the only perfume I can wear daily, love that stuff! I really didn’t care for the scent of the 2023 holiday Guerlain meteorites(they are my first). I’m hoping I like the scent of these better, but I’m not hopeful after hearing your thoughts😂 That brush is gorgeeooouuusssss!🤩
I haven’t smelled the prior one so can’t weigh in, but highly suggest smelling before you buy! 🙃 even after filming I tried it again and it was >>STRONG
Yes, this is how it looks now. I bought them recently colour 01 white and went back to the shop to complain. I remembered they looked different before, however, Guerlain changed the formulation now. In the shop they opened many boxes and they all looked similar.

Hmmm after wearing the powder for a while, the scent warmed up and I do like it. Smelling the scent at first I didn't really like it, but loved the powder finish. Now I have to say that the new scent really grew on me.💖

Ok I received my meteoritest, bought from notino btw. I got shade 2 as well and I will speak about this one since it's my color. So, i noticed the tin doesn't close very well as in one of the sides of the lid seems to be higher than the other? Does your meteorites has this issue? It is almost as if something underneath lift the lid. So the balls came quite broken and I wonder if maybe i got some used and returned ones.. pretty much all of the balls have uneven shape, some are broken, but some just look weird - they are not round but rather odd shape or spiky or egg shape, some are big some are small.. green ones are really small I noticed and I have only 4 purple ones? idk if that's how they come or not.. it seems like balls in general are not many. I have seen reviews of this new meteorites and seems like ppl have more of the pearls than I do. The smell - not as bad as I expected, smells like a woody shampoo to me, BUT.. smell is really strong on the skin. not so much in the in but on the skin lingers and that bothers me. So overall not a horrible scent but not my thing, i liked the violet better.

I noticed the exact same thing, as you can see in our unboxing video: The meteorites did seem quite uneven and gave me the impression that they were used. I also did notice that the tin can felt more flimsy than I had anticipated, and didn’t close as well as I would have expected (I did notice that it seemed as though it didn’t fully seat properly, as you mentioned). So sorry to hear that it’s a consistently lackluster experience!
@@TheFashionTryOn now that I played with them some more, I actually hate the new scent because is too strong. Not necessarily horrible smell, but violet one was so much better.. also now the balls are way too sparkly and when I put them on my face I look like Edward from Twilight hahah
Oh no!!! Well that’s a throwback!! I guess there’s a market for that kind of look, but it’s unfortunate it sounds like this was one of “your products” and now maybe not 😢 do you think you’ll stick with it? Let us know if you find a new product to replace this one spot 🙏
@@TheFashionTryOn I love the original meteorites in color 3 as well as the ones from the Christmas collection 2023 in the green tin. But the new ones are just not it mainly cos of the scent..
@@topsi91 Oh jeeze! That seems to be the consensus! Hopefully there are some of those prior collections still available so you can stock up, or perhaps time to try a new product? Have you found anything you might switch to instead?

Gosh, I have ordered items of Guerlain products, but never have I seen packaging like this. Definitely doesn't look new. The brush should have had a fine plastic cover protecting the bristles which slips off.Seems sus to me.
As mentioned, the brush was ordered directly from Guerlain, and it definitely appeared new. The pink tip is actually the style of the brush, which I find quite comforting when using it for blush. The brush actually did have a thin plastic cover inside the velvet (you can hear it crunching around in the unboxing, I just missed it :) )
The meteorites were not available on the Guerlain website, so they were ordered from Macy's. The meteorites definitely did not seem "new" to me either, although some other viewers have shared that their meteorites have arrived in a generally 'used' condition as well. I know some folks swear by this product, but for me, it wasn't the best experience.
For the packaging, I do believe the packaging from Guerlain was the "Sustainable" packaging option -- I actually think it's now the default, and that you have to select the official packaging if you want it. :)

@@TheFashionTryOn Thanks for your reply. It will be interesting to see how my meteorites arrived as they are being posted to me. Usually I go in store to buy. I did ring back the David Jones Store when I rang to order another meteorite. I asked for thos one to be checked by the woman I know well who works for Guerlain. She said all the balls were round and no broken ones. Keeping fingers crossed they arrive in mint condition. 🙂
