- Destiny 2 Forsaken has an amazing soundtrack and I wanted to do a metal cover of my favorite track from the Destiny 2 Forsaken OST, "Shell Of What Was" This track features heavily in The Last Wish raid, and plays during the fight with The Mad Warden in the new Warden Of Nothing Strike. Enjoy!

So I had a pair of headphones that were dying, and I decided to send them off in the best way possible. I amped my volume on the headphones and laptop to the highest possible volume. I played this song so damn loud the headphones had a heartattack.

Man, I hope they do something similar to Sepiks Redux from RoI and use this in the game for the Mad Warden's boss fight if they ever revamp that strike

I hate these /: this neither sounds like the original nor does it sound better, & every time i see it its like a publicity stunt, someones home made music video edited with cuts of them & the original source interlaced, to get views bc its recent & relevant. It sounds like you are really good at guitar dude, no hate there, but it also sounds like youre really good at guitar & you played it by ear which is shit. Idk how much of that you intended to be your version instead of a true transcription cover, but if you did it deliberately then i supposed we just have different tastes. Otherwise, youre a bit tone deaf, which is not unlike me, but i take a bit more time to match notes.
As someone who has listend to this and the original many times i can safely say this video does sound like the original, it cramps the best parts into two minutes and uses a completely different instrument which is why it sounds different

As someone who has listened & edited the full original (its not only 2 minutes like youll find on Bungies channel or others) and transcribed multiple other OSTs to guitar, this is noticably inaccurate, in notes & in tempo. & if youre gonna say well why dont you go away or make your own, i am doing both but this is honest feedback, if you dont want it, dont post, or privatize it lmao
Lol I'm dying haha. I literally start every track by taking the original and getting it perfectly synced to a click, then recreating all relevant strings/pianos using VST synths, then programming drums using a variation of full time, double time, and half time beats to establish a cool feel to make a heavier rock/metal version, finally I record guitars and bass. This track is 125 bpm. Take the original, tap it out, and throw it on a click. Come back and tell me it's the wrong tempo lol. I appreciate honest criticism when it comes to tonality, originality, and mix, but to state that this cover is the wrong tempo when I can literally prove you wrong by opening my daw is silly dude. Thanks for watching though!
