When you see Ed play you appreciate how cleverly he uses the pedals to build the sound and play the violin with them. It must have taken years of practice but lets us enjoy this for free. Many thanks Ed...
been watching this guy, amazing - just torrented his albums a couple of minutes ago n for once in my entire torrenting life i felt some sense of guilt and urge to pay up lol yea his music is so dam good it makes u see the evil in u... n he plays all the colors of emotions too, awesome..
I love this artist, I live in Chester and since years he has been giving wonderful moments during the weekends with his music.Your video is very clear, what camera have you used? is it in HD?
It's a violin. Acoustic violins traditionally have 4 strings (some early antecedents had fewer), but electric violins can have more. I know a violinist called Anna Phoebe and she has a 6 string custom electric violin, which I imagine is very tricky to play (although she makes it look effortless).
I was on a day trip to chester about 5 weegs ago. When I first heard the sound i wondered what it was (he was playing with distortion). It sounded a bit like a metal guitar, but that wasn't it. Amazing what he gets out of this instrument! that's a true artist... btw: does anyone know if this is really a violin? i'm wondering because it has 5 strings..
Does anyone know the what the first song is, the one during the first minute or so. I love it. The rest is great too of course. Everything Ed does is brilliant.
@kickassatron420 Kind of "What the hell is she thinking moment". But we have to give her credit for her intentions, and that is she is giving him money. Imagine if she said to him, "I'd like to give you a dollar but all I have is a $5. Can you give me change?"
Browns of Chester should be sponsoring Ed - he must be good in attracting visitors. But then again, they might not go in, prefering to listen instead. I would.
@@sanfranciscobay I think it might be this song. The song in the video is the variation version maybe. ^_^ Goodbye - Ed Alleyne Johnson 《arpeggio》 music.ruclips.net/video/J3vD5FFgpng/видео.html&feature=share
it sounds like one of the tracks from "purple electic violin concerto", one of his albums. I'd look it up for you, but my CDis in the garage, unheard for several years. I think I'll go and get it out!
How can people just walk by without pausing for a minute? They are in the presence of greatness.

@identifan: This camera is actually broken now and I've since replaced it. It was a Samsung, a couple of years old.
you might like his album "purple electric violin concerto", it was on release 10 or 12 years ago but is still around.
Longer ago than that! It was around in 1993 - more than 25 years ago!

Süper music.
