I’m looking to buy 2016 Cayenne from a dealer , same problem you had ,Porsche dealer asking price to fix it $4000 … update 11/27 .. fixed it , I had a gallon of water in my headlight , so my ballast was toasted, soaked in water … ordered a new ballast from Europe on eBay for 100 bucks , and 5 bucks for tube of silicone … did it step by step watching your video and voila , done , saved me $4000 … headlight working like new again…thank you …
Thanks for this tutorial! Started this process 2 days ago, completed it today ~ took longer to get in the correct silicon product order and in hand ~ my 2015 S E-Hybrid headlamp housing has an extra hiccup as the gasket clips into the housing itself creating a set of narrow, hard to get to areas between lens and clip for silicon ~ letting it cure for 2 days now ~ excited to see results
@@BogdanKruk Thanks for your question ~ It hasn't been in the rain yet to reveal whether or not the fix solved the condensation problem. Will update asap.
cheers mate, appreciate it, happened on mine recently and porsche suggested to change the entire headlight >£500 - lets see if this holds up, if so this was a cheap fix
Hi Stephen, did the silicon caulking fix your problem? I have the same problem and it appears to be a common Cayenne issue. I've tried many things but failed.
Hey Stephen I have one broken headlight with a ballast on it and need to replace it. I can only find another headlight that has no ballast. Will this work in my car? Part numbers are identical bar the letter on the end. What do I do with the old ballast from the broken headlight?
Hi. I'm no expert but I have replaced a headlight on another car and reused the ballast from the broken one. It worked fine. Not sure if you can remove the ballast on the Porsche headlight though. Sorry! Got to be worth a try though.

Really helpful thank you for uploading.
Thank you 🎉
Awesome mate, thank you very much for the information!
Is it possible that the issue is coming from the rubber gasket needing to replaced?
Great video thanks

Anyone with a 958.2 LED making this fix work?
That stuff lasts like 30 days before you will have a headlight full of water again. Useless.
