The fish is adorable! Don’t be hard on yourself we all have times when our brain is not cooperating. Sometimes mine can last for weeks… or at least that is what it feels like. Like Dory said “just keep swimin’ just keep swimin’”
I love that you made this video. Sometimes I will get busy and not crochet for a month or two. When I come back, working on my on going projects feels absolutely overwhelming. I usually have to come back to a simple one day amigurumi.
Thank you for getting the vid out this week! I think people should showcase their "off" days more, it's a woefully underrated source of knowledge and connection (albeit para-social in this case)! Sending lots of cro-jo vibes your way and I'm looking forward to the sugar glider! 🍰🍰🍰
The vlog videos are great additions to the repertoire. The let us see your thought pattern for designs and crojo in general. The fishies are cute in their own wonky way and make me want to attempt a puffer.
i too lose my crojo through a simular way, starting back up is pretty tough but glad you pulled through☺️. sometimes hobbies can be tough and a break is totally needed so dont stress yourself!
Thank you so much Kylie ! I love your videos so much 🥰🧶! All the best crocheters loose their cro - jos !! And it’s important to have breaks from creativity anyway, for our mental and physical health! ❤️ Those fish - I love them!! They are adorable 🥰🐠 Perfect is not always the best anyway! x
This was a wonderful, honest & helpful video showing your process & it’s much appreciated! The fishies are a symbol of the triumph of perseverance in a slump (and cute!)
Take a break if you need it! I literally have a dragon that I started like a month ago, just staring at me judgementally on my shelf because I made the mistake of putting the eyes on it and then getting too busy to finish him. It happens. My crocheting goes in waves of "I need to stay up for three days straight and crochet everything in my backlog" and "if I so much as look at a crochet hook I'm going to cry." Go easy on yourself. You're great and I love your videos!
I know this is an older video but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. They are the right blend of calm and chaotic and I love hearing your thought process - keep up the good work
Those fish and seriously adorable. And I'm glad that you put up this video. It's helps me to feel less alone in the fact that I've lost my cro-jo too at times and you're supposed to love this hobby of yours, but you kinda don't want anything to do with it.
Take a break when you need one! We all love your videos. :) We will wait till your creativity is back! I really enjoyed this video because it shows that I´m not the only one with off days. I love those kind of vlog videos! :D I dont mind when there are some more on your channel. Currently working on a dino pattern of yours and I cant wait till I get the yarn I need for your dragons! Your patterns are absolutly the best! Much Love!
I really enjoy seeing you just trying to work things through. Deconstructing the shapes needed, experimenting with stitches, and making your "ugly babies". I love seeing how the creative process parallels and differs from my own. I too have made many "ugly babies" and I wish us both many more in the future, for these children teach us the most. 💜
Thank you so much for this video! I think the fish turned out amazing and they look like they could be swimming in the sea. I think this style of video is also good! It was entertaining and it honestly helped me get out of my funk.
Hello!!! I like those fish, they're fun!😍👍 Thank you so much for uploaded that video today! We get to watch you , but also as you said its all in the mind set , and I think you are very hard on yourself and not showing what you made would not had help your processus and/or your crojo. That being said I'm really excited to see the sugarglider💚💚💚💚💚 Its been so long I want to make one! Your " bigger prohect" the dragon on your desk is gonna be Amazing !!!!!! Can't wait to see next week video...take care💜💜💜💜
The fishes turned out super cute! I was afraid that you were gonna frog them, so Im so glad you didnt. And as others have said, take a break if you need to. Its totally ok!
Honestly, I'd love to see a tutorial for a betta fish or some kind of really finny fish. Like a fancy goldfish. I love the long fins and some fun colors could be used for them. Just and idea! I'm personally hoping the sugar glider wins for KMI. I'm greatly looking forward to that one!
I get the feeling of just not wanting to often, but I do find other projects to do…. I love to sew, I love to do Embroidery and Cross-Stitch, and I enjoy making stuffed animals or the animagrumi (?) that seem to be fun. I just put a project to the side when I get frustrated, or I just don’t have my Mo-Jo and need a break. I sometimes take month long breaks and forget, but I always keep a rotating group of projects within easy reach. I am currently working on your Bearded Dragon pattern, and having trouble with the beard part, but my oldest wants it for her birthday… those Picots are so irritating but so easy too.
Good Morning ☕️ Excellent video this morning, I enjoy your bloopers… sorry hehehe I’m working on your candy spider today. I better hurry up if a fish is next 💚
Sometimes we all have our off days... or weeks. The fishies are SUPER adorable! Don't beat yourself up! We all need a short break to refocus on what we're doing. I've had do to this with the illusive butt bunny..... as I'm just NOT happy with it...
I can't wait to see the butt-bunny! While also not pressuring you at all because sometimes stuff just won't work. Personally, i hope to get back on the horse this weekend.
The fish are sweet. Totally get your 'lost crojo' , it happens to all of us once in a while. Don't be hard on yourself it's just a blip on the radar and nothing to dwell on... Honest xxx
Do you think for your how to design series you could do a basic shapes tutorial? I love how well you play with shapes in your designs and I would love to learn how you shape some of your pieces especially complicated body pieces. Also I noticed you mentioned in your mystery crochet video that you wished everyone would write patterns the same and I agree. Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to actually type up a pattern so that we can have a video tutorial that might help set some kind of standard? You are an amazing inspiration for fledgling designers like myself and I really hope you start to feel better soon. Never be afraid to take a break from something. No matter how much you may love it. It's not worth burning out on something you love. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks Ace :) I seem to be back in the groove of things already. I'll add both of those to the to-do list though, I think either would make a very interesting video!
@@ComplicatedKnots I just love your content so much. And you're the only RUclipsr that does content like this that actually really breaks down the whole design process. I've just loved how the channel has grown too. I try to do my best to share your videos with others. It makes me so happy to see the channel grow like it has. Considering when I subscribed it was about a year ago and you only had like 700 subs at the time. I can't wait to see what you make next and I'm always so excited for the next video. Thursdays are definitely my favorite day.
Oh your special. I think those are cute. I make fussless fish tanks and everyone just falls in love with them. And I would add your 2 little fish to my tanks I think they are cute. I do have a request to put to you. I have a friend who love armadillos and I would love to see what you can turn out if you would try to do one. Just a suggestion but I hope it makes it into one of your picks.
I like Mr Kissy Gourami Fishy ^_^ Looks pretty darn cute, if you ask me. I don't know how you manage to be so creative in the first place. You're too hard on yourself. Nothing wrong with a "trail and error" video, especially where you explain what you think went wrong and how you fix (or plan to fix) the issue. .... if not already on your list of ideas, Wombat and Pangolin ;) Endangered Species Series, or Cryptozoology. Okapi if you wanna get crazy.
The fish is adorable! Don’t be hard on yourself we all have times when our brain is not cooperating. Sometimes mine can last for weeks… or at least that is what it feels like.
Like Dory said “just keep swimin’ just keep swimin’”
Thats exactly it! Just gotta keep swimming :)

Thanks for the crojo vibes! I feel a bit weird about literally showcasing something I want to pretend doesn't happen.

🤩 Fun Bloopers😜 LOVE the Fish 🐠🐟 You’re soo clever 🤯✍️🧶 Brain blips; it happens 🤷♀️💋✨🥰
You are so amazing and I aspire to be like you! Thank you for your videos. I lost my crojo for almost a year once. Now Im scared to stop lol.
Before I started the channel I once didn't crochet for about 5 years! Hopefully this is just a little blip 😂
I love your little fish! I'm glad you where able to find away to get around your loss of Cro-jo. They came out fun

I love seeing what other people do when they've lost their cro-jo. I've never found a great solution for me. Thank you!
Its honestly helpful just to realise I'm not the only one!
Keep powering through! I’ve been there myself. Sending good vibes your way!!
Thanks!
The fish are very cute! I like this peek behind the scenes. Your videos are always a joy to watch.

You made a snom from Pokémon
