    Hello friends!
As you may have noticed, my production of Bardcore related content has been significantly reduced.
The reason being that I'm interested in, and currently working on trying out different kinds of videos in the future.
I'm hoping to release a very different type of video very soon, and I sincerely hope you will enjoy it.
As always, thank you for your support, and if you are interested in following or supporting me more, you can join one of these:

It's because they're made with midi files, it's a shame cause I got obsessed with midi as a kid and now I can just tell if something sounds real or not. With real crisp instruments a lot of these would really be bops.

@@32Barco7 yeahhhhhh thats not really true at all, sorry.
the standard lowest pitch for a double/upright bass (both now, and historically) is E1, (sometimes C1 or B0) which is the exact same tuning as a modern bass, (B0 is the standard tuning for a modern 5 string bass guitar.)
the deep sounding nature of the bass in this is probably due to the harmonics of the upright bass samples that were used, which are less harmonically rich than most modern electric basses, which gives a thinner, but also deeper sounding bass, as there are less high frequency harmonics in the sound, so the lower frequencies of the sound are more prevelant ^-^
if you're interested, an octave below an upright bass, or a bass guitar, would be E0, which vibrates at 20Hz, which is the lowest note that most humans can hear :)

I think part of what makes this work is that (aside from the solo) no part of the song is aggressive sounding in any way except instrumentation, so if you remove the fuzz you just get an interesting, melodic song, and if you put medieval court instruments in, you get fairly atmospheric music

I feel as though with this recent trend of covering songs in a fashion that imitates the instrumentation of medieval and some ancient music, goes to show how timeless some of these tracks are. Some of them sound like they're straight out of some banquet hall from seven centuries ago. How the songs are produced may change, but the inherent music upon which the songs are written is eternal.

if you've listened to medieval music, you'll notice how layered and introcate it is. A lot of modern artists take a known song and electronically make a cover of it using instruments their sound editing program says are medieval.
They then call this "bardcore" and spew it onto RUclips for hype-likes.
In truth our music would have sounded naked and crude to medieval bards, they would have spiced it up with improvised embellishments just to not be thrown out of ye taverene.

    Pyxis amoris
    Illa me spectat sicut piscem
    Cum debilis sum
    Closus septimanas multas
    Tua pyxidem amoris
    Attractus tua fovea magnetica
    Putetus bituminis
    Manducare malum tuum vellem
    Cum atram fis
    EHI! VENI! aliam querela habeo
    Debitor perpetuus consilia tua
    (x3)
    Consilia tua
    Orchideae carnivorae neminem condonant
    Me concide sicut angelorum capillorum
    Sicut infantium flatum
    Me amore necavit
    Et nunc atrus sum
    EHI! VENI! aliam querela habeo
    Debitor perpetuus consilia tua
    (x3)
    Consilia tua
    Illa me spectat sicut piscem
    Cum debilis sum
    Closus septimanas multas
    Tua pyxidem amoris
    Attractus tua fovea magnetica
    Putetus bituminis
    Manducare malum tuum vellem
    Cum atram fis
    EHI! UAEI! aliam querela habeo
    Debitor perpetuus consilia tua
    (x3)
    Consilia tua

My dream is for this music to be featured in a movie or series set in the Medieval period. Kind of like how the movie Marie Antoinette used a contemporary soundtrack, but keep the medieval sound. Love it! ❤

Suddenly reminded of the time I'm in the car with my mom. This song is on and gets to the line "cut myself on angel hair and baby's breath." Mom screams "ANGEL HAIR! IS THAT SOME KIND OF DRUGS?!" and I'm like "No, mom. It's a type of thin spaghetti."

You know a song is a great song when it stands the test of time: it gives you shivers whatever the era it's played in, whatever the style. This is like Für Elise, this is Art.

    Lyrics
She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks
I've been drawn into your magnetar pit trap trap
I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black
    Hey!
    Wait!
    I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
    Hey!
    Wait!
    I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
    Hey!
    Wait!
    I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice, your advice
Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet
Cut myself on angel hair and baby's breath
Broken hymen of your Highness, I'm left back
Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back
    Hey!
    Wait!
    I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
    Hey!
    Wait!
    I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless…
