Ryo wrote this song with the Miku software, Ryo is also a founding member of Supercell, a group of 11 producers/musicians/vocalists, many from nico nico song cover fame. these Hatsune Miku songs, this one in particular, are what gave Supercell a door to fame, and they are now taking the anime OST world by storm, as well as breaking into mainstream jpop.
I wish the Ryo (Supercell) album got a remaster Melt, to me, as well as the whole album is what made Vocaloid To me, Ryo was the one that allowed Vocaloid to grow beyond a small community, it's sad that he left, but it was for his own mental health, something that Odds and Ends wraps up in a pretty, bittersweet bow. 11 years is a long time, and if I'm able to get a copy of Miku, remastering the album will definitely be on my list.
Probably my all-time favorite song performed by a Vocaloid. I especially love the way her voice cracks during the chorus. |D Really need to get the album; this version of Melt is sooo great.
supercell originally started out using the Hatsune Miku program. So the first album they did (which was also called supercell) only featured songs with Hatsune Miku. It wasn't until they collaborated Nagi Yanagi (whose voice is the one you're probably thinking of) that they produced music with an actual human voice. To keep things simple, they've got two albums: "supercell", which has Hatsune Miku, and "Today is a Wonderful Day", which has Nagi.
Chelly, Nagi, Koeda, will sing. They all sing mostly. Here, Check out: Koeda- Tsumibito/sinner Chelly *Egoist* - Guilty Crown (Departure ~blessings~) Nagi- Last Smile *ft. Flaming June/ maeda Jun* And if you hear something about a name *Ryo* he's the producer mainly.
@BagOfWeird Miku Hatsune is a program that artists use when making songs, many different people make the songs that are sung by Miku but Supercell is one of the more popular artists... :p Hope that clears things up for you... ^_^
@iMarjolein Supercell is a guy who writes and produces music and lyrics, and some other 10 guys who do animation and things like that. Ryo (the musician) uses Miku for vocals for different reasons. However, he's used human singers for other songs too. Since Vocaloid is a program, even I could write a song and have Miku singing it. Supercell is the most famous vocaloid artist, and Hatsune Miku herself ain't even an artist, just a program that anyone can buy and use.
@iMarjolein Yeah, pretty much... ^_^ They write the music and lyrics then just use the Miku program to create the vocals... Miku's basically an instrument in herself... :D
@Soraryu92 actually you are wrong, the programm is vocaloid, and miku is just the voice, there are also other voices like rin, or kaito,... so on, supercell is a band who plays the instruments and made the lyrics for it, and made an album with vocaloid as voice,.... supercell also made a song with miku for a anime opening as far as i know :)
Eh? He never sings, it was written basically by him... He doesn't sing, he leaves that to Chelly, Koeda, and Nagi. He just produced the songs and writes lyrics. Nagi *Gazelle* Covers Melt,
