- Well, as the title says, here are the best optical illusions in the world... enjoy. And do not miss the last one; is amazing!!! Feel free to comment :D. Song: Death Note - Light's Theme. Oh my god! The last one was awesome!!! Its not fake cuz when you stare at it, it turnes colourfull but then i rewinded it and it was black and white AWESOMEEEEE!:)
Actually it's fake because u probably rewind it back a little bit but if u rewind it back all the way to the start u will see that it actually starts off coulorful but then turns black and white

Jovan bains no it's ur eyes tricking u of u don't stare at the dot and stare at something away from the screen then look at it once it's changed it will be in black & white.

That trick my mind played on me at the end was impressive. I did it over having prior knowledge and kept reminding myself of what the reality of the image was and I still saw the illusion for a split second.

I literally am amazed by the last one!!! I couldn't believe that I thought it was colour! I actually had to go back and check cause I didn't believe it lol. Really cool.
exactly what the guy said. skeptics that going around spouting 'smart' stuff without proofs or knowledge to back it up are friggin annoying. It's only natural for human eyes to get tired after looking at sharp bright colors, so they'll naturally negate the colors for you, in this case cyan blue becomes red, orange becomes blue, thus creating an afterimage. or to be easier, look at 2:50 again for 10 seconds, open a new tab, look at the white screen and boom, a rainbow in your screen. MAGIC!
Whoa, the last one was epic. I watched it over and over without looking at the dot and it really is a black and white picture!
That last one is SO COOL!!!! At first I just thought that the person changed the picture into color them self but then after watching it again and not staring at the dot, I realissed it was just my eyes!!! It really is trippy!!! :D

they say we have 5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch. maybe we just have the sense of touch. sound waves touch our ears, we hear. light waves touch our retinas, we see. flavor touches our taste buds, we can taste, and so on. oh, i like the optical illusions too... i just had no other place to write this thought.
the second time watching the "focus on the dot" illusion got even more freakier, as the colors altered as I moved my eyes around in the picture (focusing, and refocusing from the dot) in order to identify what colors my brain were picking up!
That last one is soo cool!!! I didn't believe you until I rewatched it without staring at the dot...
What is wrong with these people saying the last one is bullshit? It says that the picture is only in black and white, which it is, it's staring at the dot and the rainbow that makes it look like there is color, really amazing trick!
The last one is real because the unique coloring on the blue screen contains all the colors that trick your eyes into keeping the colors on the screen when the black and white picture comes on. Just close your eyes during the blue slide then open them when the picture comes and it really is black and white.
You may have gotten this already, but if you haven't: The young woman's ear is the old woman's left eye; the young woman's chin is the old woman's nose; and the bit of skin poking out of the young woman's clothes is the old woman's chin. This one took me a while the first time, but after I got that much, it jumped out at me. Hopefully that will do the same for you.
I was looking at 2:15 and I had paused it, not getting what i was supposed to see. I shifted my position and BAM!!! the older woman looking down turned to a younger girl looking off into the distance. This stuff is crazy good. :)
That black and white picture had full color!!! What the heck! That's cool! :D
in psych class we learned why the rainbow picture turns color in the black and white photo. it's because we are seeing, in the beginning, the opposite color that we want (ex. the opposite of green is red, opposite of blue is yellow, opposite of black is white). Our eyes get strained seeing so much input of the opposite color that when the white background shows up (which absorbs all colors), that color in our eyes is too fatigued, gives out and the other color shows up. opponent process f* yeah!
That last one was FREAKING awesome!!!
It works, the illusion is to use the colour gradient on the on with the dot to make the black and white video full colour for about 1-2 seconds. i checked the video out frame by frame and it has no colour version of the picture in it, so it does work.
Just to make sure the last one was real I actually went back and didn't even look at the dot and sure enough... Hahaha! That was awesome!!!!
I love the last one O_O When I stare at the dot long enough it has a color but when I rewind it back its just black and white. COOL!! SUPER AWESOME!!
I also was expecting the "screamer" to pop up,as I was staring at the dot....hahahaha....that's funny: )
im not goin to lie, i just spent the last two days watching all of the death note episodes and now i run into a video that uses light's theme, to anybody that's curious about death note, i recommend watching it, it's the most interesting thing i've ever watched
Touch refers to actual sensation caused by receptors on your skin, it's different than to objects just coming into contact with one another you're confusing two different definitions for the same word...you're chair doesn't "touch" the floor the same way you "touch" a hot stove...it was a nice thought though, sounded pretty poetic.
How is the last one fake? I tried looking at the center and the black and white pick changed to a color. When i didn't, I saw it wasn't in color. It was the best OI I've ever seen lol. Props to uploader.
Last one is definetly real. Best optical illusion by far.
It changes from the blue/orange picture straight to the black and white image of the fall. Your eyes reinterpret the colour of the 'rainbow' in the context of the black n white image and so see a coloured picture instead of a black&white one.

so i replayed it to see if i missed anything and i was shocked!

My eyes(for a SPLIT second) tricked my brain into think that colored picture turned black and white...
While it was alrighty black and white the ENTIRE time, beginning to end. Oh you silly eyes!
Last one was good, this works because the first scene is burned into the receptors and hasn't cycled out of the visual memory.
She's facing a different direction (away). The old lady's nose is her jawline. The old lady's mouth is her necklance. Her head is also smaller than the old lady's.
They last one is definitely real! If you actually pay attention, the last one is black and white but just gazing at it makes it look colorful! I love the death note music

if you look at the lace thing on her neck(young woman) that's the old woman's mouth, and the younger woman's neck is the older woman's nose. hoped it helped. :)
Wtf? I thought the last one was fake, but when I looked at the image, not the dot, it was black and white, when I looked at the dot, it was colour! This is because you were seeing the colour behind the dot in the 1st slide, then, when you saw the black and white, your brain was remembering the colours, fitting in the black and white. This is what causes the illusion. It's not fake just really clever ;)

The last one was the best. However, it would be more helpful if you put in some lines in on the other to help us identify what the illusion is.
if paused at the color change, all you see is simply a (bright) black and white picture but if you did the illusion correctly you should see a full color picture that fades into black and white when you look away from the dot

I remember I once did a test where I was to stare at the dot in the center of the screen. Then they asked me which side made a better impression to me, but I didn't even end up seeing what was on the screen besides the dot so I just said "the dot".

A creative sort of way of looking at it, but if those sensory organs only "felt" or had a sense of touch, I don't think we'd be able to see, hear, taste or smell. :) You'd just feel pain/ touch/ hot/ cold/ pressure on all of them.
The last one is real. If you rewind back to the picture change without staring at the dot it will go straight to black and white. Proof that it works

Guys that last one was so beyond fake i cant even belive people would think its real. for starters try NOT looking at the center of the picture and then watch it change. it changed because the picture was changed. Not convinced? Watch the end from the video scroll bar, look at the image and notices that it changes colors then fades another color :/

Yes, i noticed there are two "thes". Sometimes it is hard to notice them because your mind automatically deletes the extra the because it isn't necassary

the circles at the center of four other circles, left and right, are common in size but seems not because of the other four circles in each side.

at 2:33 the reason it is an optical illusion is because your mind dosent compute the middle tube and the tube on the left is 2D and the rest are 2D
