What! He said the third period was uncharacteristic, buddy that's our MO we look amazing and then everyone looks like they're playing in a beer league. This guy is nuts.
Love how everyone's clowing Cronin.... last night was a perfect example of how he wants the team to play (like Florida) and the learning they've still go to do. How many times was Dostal completely screened? This is what he's talking about. Possession is great.... get the defense running around, then get to the net and put pucks on the goalie. That's what was happening when we were on our little run, when Lacombe was on fire and scoring. We were doing those things right. It's got to be a priority that everyone is on that same page again.
@rickb9585 have you considered that just because we have a bunch of high draft picks, they may not be as good as you think they are? Vatrano-Strome-Terry have literally been a good line and single handedly kept the offense afloat for a while. Look at possession metrics and xGF and you can see that there are guys like Terry and Killorn that are actually positive players. I'm not here to argue that Cronin doesn't deserve any blame. I'm here to confront the fact that Eakins departure was supposedly going to be the key to these guys taking another step into a structured, good team. And unfortunately there's still a lot of struggle with that. This team has looked *actually* good in a handful of games this season, and what a coincidence, it's been when they've played exactly in the vision that Cronin's aimed for. He still has made puzzling decisions, like McTavish at center when he's clearly suited for the wing. Or giving Johnston way too many games over someone like Leason (although Johnston has been 'ok'). And maybe there are players on the roster that won't ever be a perfect fit for his system. But it seems a little idiotic to me to think we should absolutely shitcan the coach instead of questioning if we should shake the core up in effort to get an established top end talent that can play like the best teams in the league are now.
Fire this guy. If Verbeek can't do that fire him too.
Oh crap these are all from different games? Lol thought it was the same clip over and over with his answers.

It sounds like he talking about little league games or a kid's soccer team. He is embarrassing
This coach is a joke
Goes to show you apparently anyone can be an NHL coach…. “Just keep skating and shooting and battling” it’s gonna change!

This team fumbles the puck consistently, lacks speed/confidence to get to loose pucks, has no net front presence in both ends. This coach is a clown

Can you ask him how he still has a job next time?
This guy is a ECHL coach, nothing more.
