You Got Me Into SCT when I first saw your Tekno SCT Build a few yrs ago....Dont Get me started again!! LOL ..Im tempted to buy the ET 410.2 and just go straight to the SCT build..Keep us Posted
Thanks for your videos, always professionally done and informative. Those parts and that chassis plate look sweet! I’m looking forward to seeing this build as it progresses 👍
Hi there, that’s some seriously nice soldering on the motor wires man. Awesome parts haul, now hurry up and get the next video out so I can see what’s happening to the sct. Nice video man. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks to you I made another Chanel (franky Bonzya ) just for the build of the first Tekno SCT 410 you built. It inspired me to make my own. Don't get me started again!!
Tekno is a great product and company. This was a fully optioned kit. The Base conversion starts at $135, Everything I had pictured is about $350....but you don't need all of that to convert. You really only need the chassis plate, rear chassis brace and rear center driveshaft. Of course, bumpers and mounts would be up to you
@@TheRCNetwork thank you for responding back with the amounts. Price is doable but does the extra length to the chassis make it out of spec for 1/10 scale racing?
@@TheRCNetwork: Thank you for your time and knowledge. I have been wanting to get into RC but torn asthma to what kind. Bashing? Just sounds like a fun but an endless parts drain on the wallet. Racing and playing around the yard seems to be better but not sure about types. Buggy, truggy, short course, or stadium truck. Your info is definitely being considered. Again, thank you
Nice vid just wondering if you could give me your advice on what motor and esc would work well on the sct 410.3 I just picked up one for some backyard racing and bashing in looking at the hobbywing max 10sct Combos they come in 3200 kv 3600 kv 4000 kv and 4600kv in new to this hobby any advice would be appreciated?
Depends on if you plan for 2s or 3s....if you want 2s, then grab the 4600kv. if you want to run 3s, grab the 3200kv. Watch your temps...as the max10sct is not quite the best to push this heavier truck around
I haven't built an SCT410 since the original....but mine weighed at it's lowest 6.85lbs - a full pound heavier than the MIP/SCTE I was running previous.
My 6.4lbs 410.2 tekin rx8 , pro4 hd motor, front and rear bumper, standard thickness body painted,8200mah 2s thunderpower lipo . Dont see that as a heavy build. Titanium bolts top and bottom, ti turnbuckles , abec 7 ceramic bearings, CF towers etc, M2c chassis. Without body it is 6lbs . If i had a thinner body it would be 6.3lb , lighter motor id save .2lb , not run rear bumper .1lb , lighter battery save .15lb . Basically not any heavier but buy .1-.15lb than this rig !
@@v2rc10 I understand. With Tekno practically in my backyard - they're widely available here in the states while Intech is not. I only knew of 1 shop in the US that carried anything Intech, and they gave up their distributor relation when I did my video series on the 1/8th scale buggy - about 2-3 years ago
Requires parts for a discontinued Associated 4wd buggy. Yes those will always be available. Thanks for the review, very informative. I'll stay away from this conversion.
They can usually be sourced for years after the discontinued announcement. Also, AE is pretty consistent on parts....for example, the hinge pins on the B44 were the same for the B44, B44.1, B44.2 and B44.3. I'd probably say the B74.1 likely uses the same driveshaft
That truggy body, what ever is on that car, has to be the ugliest angular tadpole thing I have ever seen. What is with RC and the race to make all the vehicles as ugly as possible/ Is there some sort of competition? It is hilarious to watch short course bodies, which used to be cool and look like actual off road racing truck, now get uglified as well. RC racing has to be the coolest hobbies ever, but it is just painfull watch it constantly be destroyed from the inside. No wonder the RC hobby is a small fraction of the popularity it had in the 1980's. Hey lets make the most absolute stupid decisions on racing classes and rules and tracks to push as many people away as possible. Lets just be a small buddy club of people who constantly have to worry about tracks closing because of lack of popularity. Sorry to vent on this video, as I like this video and the kit shown. But when I see bodies like that truggy thing it just hits me in the face again how a cool hobby is sabotaged by those in it, racing organizations, and manufacturers.
RUclips has a "speed up" feature....but I might sound balloon like. I also do jump cuts on my videos to take out any breaths or pauses....just to add to my 100% free videos
This is why I started watching RUclips videos in the first place. Kit building and modifying, good job!
Thanks Tom! Glad to have you on the channel!
Tekno makes such good kits. And they are so much fun to build
I agree! Love building a fresh Tekno!

Thanks for stopping by, Frank!
Wow...what a build...looking forward to see that run...with the 3660 of course! Servo choice is mint too!
Thanks Andy! You can't beat the AGF Servos!
Thanks for your videos, always professionally done and informative. Those parts and that chassis plate look sweet! I’m looking forward to seeing this build as it progresses 👍
Thanks buddy! The project is going along great!
Let’s see every motor you have in a series of videos. That’s what people want. Top speeds and avg lap times for each motor.
yes, that would be cool

Thanks buddy! Chassis is built, not working on the bumpers/mounts

Good to hear! Keep RCing!
Dang, Rich. That's a seriously fancy SCT. Love it, just wish the class was more popular in my area.
Yeah, I wish SCT was larger here too....but you know what they say: Build it and they will come!
This looks like its gonna be fun.
It should be! I've got the kit all together, just working on the bumpers and mounts now
Both 3652 and 3660 are nice, I use both, 3660 in Rustler and 3652 in 1/10 mt
Good to know. Not sure which one yet...leaning on the 3652
It's a beast and crazy fast you will like
Thanks Craig!
Yes sc!! Bringin it back!
Yes, one truck at a time!
Been here since you upgraded to MIP upgrade on the scte
It's been a while since that video! Thanks for sticking around!
Hope SC4WD racing will come back some time... Nice project! I would choose the lighter motor.
I hope too! Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 5100
Thanks Rich
Looking forward to the build! 👍🤓🇦🇺
Thanks for stopping by, buddy!
The towers/braces are kevlar not carbon fiber(has some carbon in it and fiber glass aswell if remember right).
Yes, I added that as a title in the video while I was editing
yeah baby! I am about to build a Losi 8Ight XT Electric so timing is good here! build one of those next please! 🤣
Nice! I need to build more Losi RCs.
Cant wait for the next video. Awesome video as always Rich. :D
It's out now!
I love the blue carbon
I really like it...stands out pretty nicely
SCT needs to come back!
I agree! SCT was the reason I got into RC
Associated just came out with another 4x4 truck truggy and sct👍
The SCT was 2wd, and they also released a 2wd stadium truck....If you're saying Truggy , it was an 1/8th scale E-Truggy
Have you watched Ryan Harris’s TLR short course build for racing? Seem he has figured it out.
Ryan is cool people...but he did a 2wd, right?
Btw, on a high-bite indoor track you put weight to the front of the vehicle to get more steering
Thanks for the info....with the rear weight bias set up (motor/battery to rear) I don't believe I will need any weights. Hopefully
3660 of course 💪
I'm so tempted to put that in there!
Can't beat tekno et48.3 truggy and nitro nt48.3 soo happy club raceing made easy good info need to update my losi sct. 5100..
Yep! Hopefully we will see the ET48 2.0 here soon
Really would like to see the power of the 5100kv sensored motor 💪🙄😀
It's pretty nuts!
The 5100kv is a beast to much power in all my sct 2wd vehicles
Running loose dirt oval though
Vote in the 5.5
Yeah, I opted for the 4300kv for now

@@davidreed3724 The length gets you into the SCT class - either 2wd or 4wd, depending on how you build the conversion.

How much longer is the pro star chassis?
about 1.5-2" longer
Very nice 👍
Thanks buddy!
Love them towers run them on there eb410.2
They're different from regular cf towers....I like them!
The RCNetwork did they tell u how to seal towers

Check out the Hobbywing XR8 SCT Pro - best bang for the buck ESC and rivals $200+ ESC's

Hi, does anyone know whats the length of the et410 shocks?
I've got chassis #39 :D
Nice!
The sct410 is more like 6-6.4lbs.(2750-2900g)
I haven't built an SCT410 since the original....but mine weighed at it's lowest 6.85lbs - a full pound heavier than the MIP/SCTE I was running previous.
Hobbywing makes a 540 4pole 5100kv
Yep, I think I showed that one too
Keep the lighter motor.
I'm agreeing with that. The spec sheets had the 4300kv 3660

Once this was full built, it was under the weight regs for 4wd SCT...so weight had to be added anyways
2:25 Three: Intech ERSC10
Think mainstream....Intech is a decent brand, but has little to no support in the US.
I don't know about the US, but in Finland it has been pretty competetive against Tekno.
