Miniature Portrait Painting

These are some clips taken from a recent Zoom class where I am discussing how to paint a miniature head. This is part of a larger figure painting, but I felt that these clips would help out anyone struggling with portrait painting as well. When working on a small scale, I try to simplify my light and dark shapes to define the general planar structure, and then I begin to finesse edges, colors, etc. I discuss all of this in my demo.
