    Pro tip for anyone: When banging out bolts, you can leave the nut on so the ends are flush. This helps you from potentially bashing up the threads 🤟

    Got my drotto in spring of 2020. Can honestly say I think I fish more because of it. Makes launch and retrieve so easy I usually can be in and out solo faster than most groups of people doing it the old fashioned way

    Your the best jay! Me and my 2 year old son watch your videos every morning. Toronto needs more Jay Siemens. I dont think I've ever seen you catch a salmon, maybe you could come down and shoot a salmon video with taro
    I mean.. I'm sure between being a husband, father, filmmaker and building a fishing lodge. You should have lots of free time😄

    Those of you that have a gripe about the technology, remember this is a RUclips channel.
    Jay is in the business of providing entertainment for all of us to watch/enjoy.
    WITH THAT SAID, I STILL want to see a Clay vs Jay no electronics 😅

    Just went up to Kississing Lake last weekend for some spring fishing. What a time! Lots of fish and especially in the warmer shallows. Great guide from Kenanow Lodge. Will definitely go back later this year!

    Love spring fishing. You are right about being spoiled pike fishing. Ask Mark Tully about his first nights up at the lodge. We were goofing around pike fishing in the evening and Mark had about a 33” pike follow, which I spooked away (my bad). Mark was so devastated, that was the biggest pike he had ever seen. He ended up catching many many more big pike that summer (phew).

So when I learned all these spring tips and tricks off his super informative videos I can’t apply them until next year because all our fish are already in summer patterns 🥲😂

    Jay, myself and my son will be heading to Cranberry Portage to fish the Cranberry lakes at the start of July. Do you have a preference of which maps are most accurate for those Lakes? I know in NE Alberta, Navionics is horrible and nowhere near accurate.

    Bought a frostbite large dinner bell based on what the website said about its open water potential. Casts great but it has no action to speak of. Need to pop it on retrieve. Was hoping for more. Should be awesome for jigging pike though.

    Navionics mapping is going to get someone hurt or killed. I think they guess based off satellite imagery.

      I'm not sure how Navionics gathers their info, but LakeMaster and Angler's Edge Mapping have people in boats driving around to create their charts.

      Pls where your life jacket sound advice. Ppl get ppl hurt and killed, if you don’t know the lake slow down and fish it. Plot your own course on gps, rocks are only one obstacle on the water, you still deal with debris, dead heads, water fluctuations. Slow down, you’ll catch more fish throughly working good structure, than doing 80mph between the rocks anyway

  • @eliedube
    @eliedube Год назад

    Ingenious that catch & release system but I don't like it. I feel there is more step to launch the boat... put the handle... release while our in the boat or when putting back boat on trailer... it catch(stuck) the boat but the boat may be sideways on trailer and you need restart everything. It does make sense to me. Never tried it but I might change mind trying it. Simple simple is the way to go with less gadgets. Only a one fisherman opinion.
