Yeah they all tend to land very hard, even the Q400 variant. Sometimes you'll just drop like a pancake.

Great videos. Btw, I will never get used to seeing the spoilers extended on the Dashes right before take-off. This is just wrong :D

I think the speedbrakes automatically extend when the power levers are set below ground idle, but that's just a guess. Thanks for watching!

@@greatflyer_aviation first of all they are not speedbrakes they are spoilers and they have two positions, taxi and flight, when the aircraft lining up on the runway the pilots select them to flight in order to check if they are working properly. when they extend a yellow light illuminates... when the pilot sets take off power the spoilers coming down... and that is a check on the Q400.

Yes, Olympic Airways was sold in 2009 and renamed to Olympic Air.
