ZOOM Adventure World: new LIONESSES in Gelsenkirchen 😍 | zoos.media

Two new lionesses arrived at ZOOM Adventure World in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. We talked to animal caretaker Nadine Wolff about her new lions and their future. The male lion called Bantu already seems to be interested in his new neighbors.
Fiona and Lissy came from the zoo in Kolmarden, Sweden, to Germany. The young ladies are getting used to their new home and this works great. How exactly this works is explained in the video.
Of course, Nadine Wolff knows exactly how she differentiates the two lionesses and explains it in the video. At first glance, they may look the same, but if you take a closer look at Fiona & Lissy, you will be able to make a distinction quickly.
The caretaker also talks about the future of lion husbandry in Gelsenkirchen, because breeding is not planned. That also has good reasons, which are explained in the video.
Finally, we learn a little more about the magnificent male lion called Bantu. Also, you can see in the video as he diligently poses like a real lion-man in front of the females behind the glass. It will be exciting how he reacts to them and they react to him.

Stimmt, die ist wundervoll - auch sonst ist er super schön 😊
Ausgeschildert sind die Tiere als Afrikanische Löwen und die Zootierliste führt die Haltung ohne Unterartenstatus.

Ich würde sagen Berber Löwe von der Mähne die sogar noch untern Bauch weiter geht her ,und daher Finde ichs eher schade das ihr nicht züchtet den die sind selten besonder Bei einen solchen Art Typischen Schönheit wie euer Mänchin ist × den beiden Mädels sehr gut zu ihn passen aussehen finde ich es schade das es da nicht wenigstens einmal Nachwuchs gibt .
Oder ligt es vieleicht daran das sie genetisch sich zu enlich sind , Geschwister?
