I enjoyed watching you perform your Wizardry on your tools !

It’s fun and stress relieving. Just don’t get enough time to do it! I want to try converting an old corded tool to cordless one day. Thanks Ted

I see why you went that route instead of the adapter and that's battery prices. Thanks for sharing 👍

I already had a bunch of those batteries, just got the 8 AH and the Bauer brushless miter saw.

Wish there was an adapter that lets you use it plugged into the wall directly when you need to charge your batteries

Zach I would think you could still use it with the board. The usb should have some type of voltage regularor built in the circuitry. The only thing is voltage drop on usb ports while using the tool. Interesting.

I did a Jigsaw that will be released soon that I kept the board with. I share your feelings about using the USB when the tool is in use. Have not tried it though.

I would have bought one of the cheap ebay dewalt nicad to lithium adapters and used that as a base for the retrofit. That way you only need to make one adapter to use the bauer batteries on all the dewalt tools. For me i already use dewalt batteries so just a decent adapter is all thats needed for me.

Yep, I saw those. I already had the Bauer batteries so I just made the adapter.

Or you could have just bought Ryobi and have all the current batteries work in all the old tools out of the box. 😁
