Wow, you did get up close and personal to the balloons this year! Too fun! I've been close to one, but just one. My husband and I took a hot balloon ride to celebrate our 5th anniversary, 45 years ago, come June! It was an amazing experience and soo peaceful up there. Because you go with the wind, the only sound you hear is the whoosh whoosh of the torch keeping the balloon in the air! We helped with the setup and the takedown, so got the whole experience! And of course, they had a chase crew following us. They honestly have no idea where they may end up because you're at the mercy of the wind. So basically, when our alloted time came near, they looked for a safe landing place and gradually lowered the flame as they approached, so they came down where they wanted to. I think everyone should do it once to know what it's like! 😊
Paid $2.49 a gallon in eastern Nebraska today. Gas prices are definitely going in the right direction. 👎 What kind of camera are you guys using? Wondering why you're not able to zoom in for better pictures/videos? Wish someone would of offered to take you for a hot air balloon ride for your 40th wedding Anniversary. 🎈💞

I think if gas was cheap, the roads and parks would be very crowded. It's like paying $12 for a beer at a stadium game... they're keeping the crowd sober by charging so much.
They are so fun to watch. The Ballon Festival in Yuma is also fun. We did some Ballon chasing a couple of years ago, so fun. Loved hearing the stories 😊 Glad Jumping Judy survived
It sure takes a lot of people working to put their balloons away! We have a great Balloon Festival here in Quechee, Vermont around Father's Day. They actually give rides over the Quechee Gorge and the whole area! Come East and see! 😀👍
My sister has a 2nd. Home in lake Havasu. She was down at the lake at 7am to see the balloons go up. When they went back down her and her husband left, went home, and went back to bed for a couple of hours. To early for them .Lol!

My mom used to get a big salad from Black Bear in Puyallup, and they were awesome, but last time was really disappointing, so she's not going back again. Your food looked really good tho. Figures, you guys always make me hungry at 4 AM... LoL...

Never heard of the Black Bear, the closest one to us is miles away...looks like good food. We were going to go up in a balloon years ago and kept getting cancelled, finally gave up because of scheduling conflicts...wouldn't even consider it now. Fun to watch, scary too. 😁😁😎😎👍👍
I love how they won't take off if the winds are too strong. It proves a very important point in our reality. No balloon would ever be able to take off and land in the same approximate area if we were actually living on a globe that was spinning at 1000mph. I can't believe they use that place as staging area for lifting off...so many power lines and buildings nearby.
It seemed crazy to me with all the power lines, but when they lift they go straight up very fast.
