For some potential buyers of the Q2 there are some show-stoppers that never get mentioned in the gushing reviews that we see on RUclips and elsewhere: Progressively shorter upper limit on exposure time with increasing ISO, inability to turn off Long Exposure Noise Reduction, variable shutter speed and general lack of control of shooting parameters in video. Do the build quality, minimal design, excellent lens, near-perfect controls, high resolution, weather sealing and general IQ make up for taking away the photographer's control of the process?
When you get a little older (like me), you will learn that "style points', especially when it comes to camera gear, are complete bullshit and don't mean squat! I couldn't give a rat's ass who walks by me and thinks, "oh wow, he's got a Leica". I got a Q2 because it's not only a kick-ass camera, but because it suits my approach to photography.
X100V holds it own ground. Q2 is way better in term of image quality but the price is so much higher. X100V offers smaller body and lens plus optical VF. Both are good. No need to upgrade unless you are after Leica brand imo
I'll probably sold my G9 + 12-40 + 25 (24-80 and 50 equivalent) to by a Q2 soon. I'll choose this camera rather than a Nikon Z7ii or a R5 because if you want a 47MP camera (useful for croping), with a 28mm F1.7 lens + a macro lens, it will be much more cumbersome, will weigh much more than 700g and won't be cheeper. Beside I'll keep a 75 F1.8 Olympus (150mm equivalent) on a 3 year-old but still good GX8 to have two small and light cameras that covers all my needs.
UHS I card at 170 MB/S what did you expect? You missed focus on the dog's eyes. So is it a fashion statement or a fantastic camera? you forgot to mention.
Hi, I am planning to buy one and the only thing holding me is what i keep hearing in reviews that the low light performance of Leica q2 is not as good to other full frame. how did you find it in low light?
Why do the majority of RUclips uploads nowadays predominantly start with "Whats up gays"? and made up of thousands of individual jump-cut edited, music* enhanced micro clips (in this case with a woman occasionally shouting for assistance or attention*)?
I love how everyone who reviews the Q2 loves it BUT would never buy one because of the price. Is the M11 really worth the retail cost? Are the lenses worth the astronomical prices they bring? Yes, of course. You can't rave about the Q2 and then complain it's too expensive.
Depending on what you use it for. I have both 300mb/s and 170mb/s. At first I just used the 300 type. But if you only use it for single shots only and not video the 170mb/s is perfectly fine. That was after I spoke to Leica regarding this(I was unsure myself)
Detailed review and very helpful. Thank you.

Can this camera do wifi transfer the photo to iphone immediately?
A day and a half of shooting on one battery is worth writing home about. :-)
Precisely what I was thinking!
MNMohamed Unless he only took 10 shots! :-)

When is the 3?
There'll be a Q2P soon.
you have to learn the camera. and it needs the best sd cards.exopose for highlights and lift shadows..it aint that hard.. ;)
I would love to have the Q2 as a logical supplement to my M240....
Fashion statement AND fantastic camera. I love mine for all the reasons there is. Yes it's expensive... but there you go.
Looking at upgrading from a x100v. Is it that much better ?

THE BLACK AND WHITE OF THE Leica Q2 IS MORE NICER THAN ANOTHER SIMPLE CAMERA.
Don't let the stylish appearance fool you...it's a highly capable camera. Anyone who really has to ask this question is missing the point.

We’re in the hybrid generation. I haven’t seen a hybrid that can perform this clean of a image. Especially in low light.

Is the horrible sound track also a fashion statement for camera reviews?
Yesss 🇲🇽📸📸📸📸🤞🤞🤞🇯🇵
Please stop shaking the hell out of the camera as you talk...
lol
A more expensive camera does not make you a better photographer. The best camera is what you have with you now.
**"why not both?" girl has entered the chat**
Tha Macro Ring technique got shown from Sony before hand on the RX1..., so it's not a Leica invention

The battery life is nothing to write home about but shoots 1.5 days on it lol...
I would only consider the Q, im no rich man
informative
This camera requires the 300 mb/s cards to really perform.

Disappointed you're bothered about 'style points' rather than image quality. I watched no further- "bye-bye".
fashion statement. Many other cameras can outshoot this camera in performance and image quality with greater flexibility.
