This is awesome. I just recently acquired an ebike and love going grocery shopping with it. It's fun, I get to be out in the environment like a kid again and I get to use my sense of hearing and smell from all the honeysuckle along the way. It's like meditation while going to the grocery store, and might add takes away the need for me having a car. It's beautiful to have a car only as an option if one wants.
Same here, that awkward distance and it’s why I just bought a Brampton. Thank you for this! Exactly what I needed and the coupon works! Thank you for that, too!
Love it! My girlfriend and I get groceries by bike in Charlotte. I pull a dog trailer behind my commuter bike, and it works great. We just toss in some re-usable bags and off we roll. Weight and size capacity are more than enough. We have a very flat route from home to the grocery store, with store options at 1 mile and 1.5 miles. Keep up the good work.
Brilliant! Nice prez. again. A charming older lady demonstrated hers so proudly at NW Electric and Folding (Ballard) a few years back. And off she went, big smile!
I stick my Brompton in a shopping cart as I feel weird rolling it about in the supermarket. To haul more gear I have a Burley Travoy folding trailer. It doubles as a seat when camping too just take the wheels off.
Thank you for the detailed explanation of the trolley-folding process. I got my brommie last friday so I'm still confused when to lower the saddle and when not.
I’m considering this for sure as a new Brompton owner (H6L; fenders but no rack). I also live about a mile from a supermarket. Are you happy with your choice of bag? I had been eyeing the Brompton Borough roll top bag but this looks like a nice option too.

I don’t have a Brompton, yet. Bike theft is a major problem in my area and locking the bike up is a hassle. Bringing the bike inside would solve all that and I wouldn’t need to load, unload and load the cart again, then unload the cart into the bike. The way the Brompton folds is awesome, especially having the chain on the inside when folded. I want a Brompton, very much!
@@BestSideCycling Wellllll since I'm a broke student I bought a Litepro knockoff 😅 It's a 6-speed with M-style handlebars and a rack. They're about the same price here in the UK, but there's nowhere local to compare the two. Any advantages/disadvantages that you can point out? Thanks for any advice!
Hrmmm, at this point I'd probably recommend the Brompton Borough Roll Top Bag Large. It just has a lot more capacity than the Birch. The Birch has some niceities being a slightly compact form factor and easier to use buckle but it strikes me now as a better choice as an office commute bag. The Borough Roll Top Bag is basically just a big empty duffel bag.
I have question to shopping like you did, do you need the rear rack? or can the new T line with two wheel at back and one little one wheel on the rear fender also do this? I would love to have seen a close up shot how much clearance you have when rolling the bike in a shop, how big the wheels most be...
If doing this you definitely need the wheel extender to give the folded Brompton more stability when wheeling/pulling it around. I would add that it is a must have addition anyway as without it the folded Brompton can on occasions topple over which is annoying and inevitably ends up with scratching something or the bike itself. I have an M6 L with an aftermarket ACE aluminium rear rack which looks far nicer than the OE one and is also much lighter. You can also attach panniers to it should you wish. Lots of carrying capacity with the front 31 litre T bag.
Great tips and points! Have you found good places to source the extender in North America? They definitely seem a lot harder to get but will look into it

I've been riding this bike for about a month ruclips.net/user/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

Yeah, well I guess the alt to sanctions would be to just ignore that invasion, or cheer? 😮
Because you can't afford a real ebike.
