Fantastic footage of a great area steeped in history of the local industries that were adjacent to the W&E, the drone footage is superb and yet again The Canal Hunter does it again perfectly .. Thank you for a great video again.

Thanks for posting the drone shots Andy. We often go shopping in Brownhills, and park near the canal, but they show the area from a completely different angle. Must explore the area more now!

Glad you enjoyed them - Flying the drone form Junct 12 of the M6 to south of Lichfield was an interesting challenge.

Thanks Christine - the weather and some surgery has kept me inside for a couple of weeks.

Nice one Andy the drone footage puts a lot more of the position of some of the old sites into a much better perspective.

You shouldn't be awake at 3.00am Dennis! Glad you enjoyed it. More to follow of if I get a break in the weather. Even in this episode I was getting wind warnings from the drone.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, know every bridge on that section & where you’re heading. Good to learn about the history of them.

Its a great bit of canal, one we pretty well have to ourselves most of the time.

Me too mate, I've fished the cut from Pelsall to Chasewater for many years, up until 2000 when I moved away from Brownhills. Now I see the modern photos from the old piggy to Tesco bend and I'd say they've destroyed what was one of the best fishing areas on the Wyrley & Essington 😐

At 12:55 of the video I seem to remember near the school playing fields the embankment broke into the farm fields sometime in the late 70s or early 80s. Great vid.

There was a big breach along that bit, which resulted in a section of concrete canal bed.
