Tessa needs some serious therapy ASAP! She ate her SIL hospital food, the baby’s food, and on top of that she legit ate uncooked ribs. She is inviting diabetes to set up shop in her body. 😮😮😮
Tessa reminded me of an episode of CSI where the victim suffered with “Prader-Willi Syndrome.” The brains of the people who have this doesn’t recognize when their stomach is full and constantly feel hungry. If you want to see it it’s from season 6, episode 9.
I think she has a general obsession with food too. Like the idea of someome having food and she doesn't seems to set her off and she wants to hoard it.
I have a sibling who took MY food and gave to THEIR friends. I didnt have a weight problem then. Now I am away from that abusive sibling I am no longer slim 😆
Jennifer… you were probably trying to make up for having your food stolen all the time… Basically protecting it and eating it before anybody else can get to it
I honestly get the feeling this absolutely wasn't only about the food for Tessa. The food was the object she focused on but the main issue was her feeling replaced by Sadie and the baby. You can that tell it is more about control and not just simply about being hungry.
Tessa's insane jealousy of Sadie aside: Carol (plus family) did a poor job by how she reacted towards her daughter's food addiction imho. She just scolded her, called her names, in the end even got violent (I get her patience ran out, but violence is NEVER the solution). Eating disorders are a severe problem, and she should have taken Tessa to doctors for help, searching for therapy etc. There could have been underlying hormonal malfunctions for example, maybe even something serious as a genetic defect, and combined with feeling neglected it got worse. Tessa was only a bit younger than Sadie if I got that right, but acted really childish. It's said that Carol cooked everything Tessa asked for when she was younger, and later only attended to Sadie's needs. Spoiling your child rotten first, and then loosing it when you can't handle the growing problems later isn't helping anyone! It seems no one tried to work on it and with Tessa; and sending her to bring FOOD into the hospital is simply dumb! The fastest way (tossing Tessa out eventually) mostly isn't the right way...
I’m no psychologist or medical doctor, but it sounds like Tessa either had a disorder where she literally cannot tell when she is full or is always hungry and was never taught how to regulate her eating OR it sounds like she’s trying to get any attention she can get and she found out eating all the food would get it for her with how Tessa is talking. Either way, it is severe neglect on the parents’ part because it sounds like it started way before she was 18. And I wouldn’t doubt it with how physically abusive her mom acts towards her every time she eats something she’s not supposed to and fat shaming she was. As an adult, there is no excuse for her behavior and not getting herself checked as it is common knowledge this is not typical behavior for most healthy adults. Edit: further more, the MIL knows her daughter is like this, why did she send ANY food with her daughter? It sounds like she is TRYING to cause friction between Sadie and Tessa.
I thought this was an ED or neglect issue too but Tessa was a full grown adult when the birthday cake incident happened, and it was mentioned that she’s been _generally_ greedy her whole life, but is even worse with food. Her mom even mentioned she went out of her way to make Tessa whatever it was she wanted to eat in her childhood, and she would take from other people anyway. The whole issue was never “Tessa is being starved.” She’s not hungry, she’s eating so others can’t have it. She’d just had lunch when she burnt Sadie trying to take her food away, and stole food from the baby so the _baby_ couldn’t have it.
Considering all the physical abuse in the video, it could still be an ED hinging on that. Mommy gave her whatever food she wanted before suddenly ignoring her for the "new daughter" as well. It's like the food was to silence her about being abused.
Tessa needs a psychiatrist. What? Sadie weighed 88 pounds? Why would Carol entrust Tessa to bring Sadie food? She had to know that Tessa would eat it! But Tessa came back! And now Tessa is eating baby food and raw ribs! Yum! What? The kid’s already a year old? My how time flies! What? Tessa’s been hiding in her bedroom under her bed? Exactly how old was Tessa?
Good Afternoon. From Halesowen. West Midlands in UK. 😊😊. It's a nice sunny day here. Yet UK weather can turn on a dime lol. So might chuck it down at ANY time. Hope you have a good day. 😊😊
There are several problems here. Tessa has an eating disorder, and she needs help asap. The MIL has one too. She makes food to show her love, and she cut off her daughter when she supported her DIL. This is messed up.
I agree. Tessa has Prader-Willi syndrome which means that a person can keep eating and not realise their full. Sadie has anorexia, and the MIL has a social eating disorder where she keeps preparing too much food.
Also, add the abuse that has been inflicted on Tessa. This whole story was filled with so many issues and the scary part is that there are families just like this around the world. I agree, Tessa needs psychiatric care, but so does MIL.
I can follow it just fine, but then again, I’m pretty sober. 😆 no hate, just giving you crap. Have a great evening. Please take care of yourself, you are worth it and deserve it. 💜

Tessa could have the mentality that she has to compete with others (the baby, Sadie, etc) so she eats everything on purpose . Or she could also have some parasites too....making her constantly hungry. Seems she just like to eat and likes food. Could also not know when she is full. She should definitely see a few doctors.
This is a very sad story with psychological overtones. I’m finding it difficult. Very well acted. It must have been difficult to act. Props to the actors.
It wasn’t indicated how old Tessa is in the story, but she needs a medical evaluation, therapy, and possibly a residential eating disorder program. Maybe Tessa is not salvageable but it should be tried.
Yeah no i didn't see the need for the physical and emotional abuse(fat shaming hair pullng/slapping) and neglect(seriously you call your daughter a fat pig instead of getting her therapy?) And I'm willing to bet the brother was always the golden child
You're glossing ovrer the daughter's clear dislike and hatred of her SIL. She literally called her sister in law an "outsider" and said she was her mother's "only daughter." She's not innocent in all this.
I agree! Tessa desperately needs psychiatric care and to get away from her toxic family. While it's great to hear a story where the MIL gets along with DIL, her behavior and actions toward her daughter Tessa was horrible. It was very inappropriate and disgusting. Tessa seems like a victim here and I'm sure she endured this abuse throughout her life, which could contributed or caused her eating disorder. The disheartening part is that there are many families like in real life.
