I may have missed it, but what angle are the legs cut at? I love the build. I will be making a set of these in the next couple of weeks. Hope mine come out as well as yours. Have been looking for a saw horse set that I could put out of the way when not in use. Thanks for the video.
James Rowe The angle I cut the legs at was around 107° and it came out nice and flat. You do end up with a bit of a gap on the outside of the legs with this design. I also recommend using a full strip of piano hinge between the legs, I only had the one piece at the time so I just tacked them in for the sake of the video. Thanks for your interest, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Am a beginner with a Chinese 650 amp weld machine (Zard). I often see the 6013 rod set at 40/60 amps on a 150 amp machine would i set the same amps with the 650 amp machine with arc force and hot start. Thank you
Hi, I'm not very familiar with arc welding but there are some good RUclips videos out there you can learn from. Good luck! Just like anything else, the more you practice the better you will get!
Yep! After I made this video, I acquired more hinge and welded it on between the legs and removed the short pieces at the ends. I also cut out the bottoms of the tube at the ends so I can clamp things easier.
Soul Collector if I was to do it again I would change a few things. I have another video that I should be getting out soon where I put on the rest of the hinge, as I only had about a foot of hinge when I filmed this.
Made a set very similar and love em, used barrel hinges and all 2x2. Great design
Sir lakeridge, I'd like your demo for making sawhorses, very simple, thank you, and more power.

Could you have avoided the large gap by turning the 1.5" x 2" tubing the opposite way?
Yep! After I made this video, I acquired more hinge and welded it on between the legs and removed the short pieces at the ends. I also cut out the bottoms of the tube at the ends so I can clamp things easier.
What gap? He glued it closed with his wire gun 🧑🏽🏭🧑🏽🏭🧑🏽🏭
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Approximately how much do they weigh?
They're relatively light, probably around 10-15 lbs.
Wow, that’s not bad at all. Thanks!

Good call. The hinge was the weak point. Great design for fast build portable. I like it!
