Great video man. What "Key words" are you using. I am trying to grow my views/channel and cant get that many views. The views I do get seem to like the videos. What do you suggest?
Keywords are just the icing on the cake. Focus on quality content, quality presentation, and quality thumbnails first. First, I would not have clicked your base video, because it does not show a base. Thus, a viewer does not know what to expect and may skip this video in favour of one with a thumbnail that communicates the content of the video more clearly. This is a bad signal for the YT algorithm, and your video will be recommended less often. Second, in case I had started watching that video for some reason, I would have closed the video about 10 seconds in. I was greeted by a distracting overlay, jumpy movements of the avatar / mouse, and a dark inside of a base so that I can almost not see anything. Usually, low quality production indicates low quality designs. That’s not always true, of course, but many viewers might move on at this point. This is another bad signal for the YT recommendation algorithm. Best of luck! Hope this helps! Evil
@@EvilWurst Thank you so much. Would you mind taking a quick look at my last video and tell me how I could increase the quality of the video and thumbnail?
Huh The Tier 3 can just be placed on the opposite side and the furnace on the right? Then you can just remove the furnace to place a new door, or did I catch something wrong?
The problem with designing for modded servers is: there are so many different configurations, and they all require different designs: 2x or 10x? /home or no teleportation? ladder raiding enabled or not? low-pop or high-pop? (=how much can people farm unmolested) 3-day wipes or 2-week wipes? ...
I have found that all these highly effecient builds don't do well on modded servers as sulfur is just so abundant that nothing will keep them out. You need to change your designs to be sneaky. Plus with very high stack quantities you bearly need any storage. The only way vanilla designs will work in modded servers if there is no /remove as I found that the most op feature when designing bases. The next is teleport as it removes the need to be in prime locations but also allows raiders to attack much further away from their main base. Say you are on a modded server with any multiple of gather, /home and /remove. There is zero point to use doors at all. You should have your loot base and your small farming/monument base you TP between. For the loot base I would recommend two options. Build a symetrical base and put fake loot in the center while having your TC and good loot off center and behind a wall. Only getting lucky or expending a massive amount of explosives will reveal the real loot and cause you to loose the base. The TC on a teleport server is even more critical as it allows the raiders to take your base and just tp and trade all the loot out quick. The other option is to build into the side of rock formations and hide the TC and best loot in the crevices and wall it up. Either way always keep your TC and best loot behind a wall and obfuscate where it could be hidden. With so much materials make 3 to 6 tc bunkers around your base to reduce greifing.
Is it possible to raid the base by breaking the garage door that leads downstairs, and then throwing a beancan down to break the twig? Raid cost would be 128 for the 2 doors, 150 for the garage door, beancan for the bunker, and then 300 for the last 2 garage doors. Less than 600 explosive ammo to TC and basically all the loot. 15k sulfur. Which is only like ~11 rockets worth of sulfur to TC. Just theorycrafting love u
The metal triangle floor placed at half height in the chute aligns with the top of the metal roof bunker which closes access through the chute and prevents throwing a beancan to break the twig, no?
It sounds a little harsh to the English/German ear if you formulate this as an imperative. "Could you please explain the chute ... " would have sounded much more friendly
hi man. What do you suggest instead of turrets now that they demand electricity? I came back to rust but Im not sure how much of a hassle is setting them up and connecting all of that, if its worth doing that is.
Setting up turrets is not super trivial, but easier than you think. I believe it even got easier recently. But, since I’m on a break now, I cannot verify that
@@EvilWurst Yeah I was watching the video from my feed and was typing the comment before it finished and by the end when your outro rolled I felt like an idiot :D
@@EvilWurst I just played around a bit with it on a build server and tried the 7.6 boxes lootroom too. Didn't quite work out but I learned a few things 1.) You can still place the TC + Furnace and be able to change the doors. Though it is kinda tricky and the furnace has to be taken out when changing doors. 2.) Having the doorframe makes the 7.6 lootboxes impossible at least for me. At the top you can't put two large boxes in a 90° angle (maybe I just didn't find the right placements though if somebody manages to do it I'd appreciate it). This means the large boxes have to be placed parallel allowing only one more small box up top instead of two and a grill. At the bottom the large box on the side of the door can't fit into the corner because of the frame so only three boxes go in the front. With a windowframe you lose the furnace but gain a barbeque and a small box. At the bottom I didn't manage to get the large box totally into the corner so I still only got 3 small boxes. I might just miss the placement though. Overall I don't think the furnace is worth the hassle unless one is dead set on having 4 furnaces and does not plan to build a furnace base at some point. It is really a fun design to mess around with. Though I will probably have to build it a few times before I can use it on live without wasting a ton of materials because especially the upgrading part is confusing as hell.
Any particular reason for the half-height floor triangles being wood? I was testing out the build on my own server and /up 2 to upgrade any twig to stone also upgraded those triangles. The only thing I can figure is that there will be wood elsewhere, requiring wood in the TC, so you may as well use the single 1k stack you'll have in there for multiple things -- is this assumption correct?
@@EvilWurst Now do we have to do the "April 19 workaround"? By the way you said in the video it seemed like that had to be done before, but its fixed now ...?
I tried this for solo play. Worked very well of course. I came back to my base to see someone had blown through the back all the way to my loot rooms reinforced wall while i was out farming. no problem I just patched it back up. Then I was outside looking at possible upgrades to the base when i get shot at. I run inside and I assume its the same guys who had just recently blown through my walls because they have been harassing me all week and they brought back a bunch more c4. They say some mild taunts then begin blowing down my doors. I open up the auto turret doors and they struggle to deal with it. one guy gets in though before i can openall of the turret doors and kills me. Of course i left the doors on the inside all the way to tier 3 workbench open because i am noob and bad. He drops down and dies to shotgun trap. His friend was dead due to auto turrets. I get 4 c4, 2 sets of full metal gear (hadn't researched it yet) 2 aks an lr-300 and a bunch of other stuff. Double head shot the guy when he comes back with a second set of gear to try pick me off when im out looting their corpses. Shoot them like fish in a barrel as they run in naked trying to pick up their gear laying around. I scouted around their base. They either went offline or are farming all day to destroy my base when I'm offline. haha. For real though, I'm scared to go offline now.
Definitely expensive, but in my team, we usually have 20 of them by the end of the wipe. If you don't expect to find too many, extend the shooting floor

You should elevate turrets so they could shoot inside also if the doors are closed
NGL, loving these nerf gun-style names for the bases.
Could you possibly do a build for a clan base/ compound, like I mean 7-10 man. Also mini copter access would be good.
Carrsun I’m designing by inspiration, not by request
Always intresting and will definitely have to try
explain the "chute", 8:12 why did you put a triangle there?
It is so that you can reach the 2 garage door ends that poke through the walls.
But, since I’m on a break now, I cannot verify that
how would you power the turrets?
Nice base design. Wouldn't the new 7.6 boxes loot room be a good solution for the storage?
I read your comment before you edited it, and it made me laugh out loudly! :D
Yes, the 7.6 box loot room is a perfect alternative
@@EvilWurst Yeah I was watching the video from my feed and was typing the comment before it finished and by the end when your outro rolled I felt like an idiot :D
No worries, it just gave me a good laugh. I appreciate that!
@@EvilWurst I just played around a bit with it on a build server and tried the 7.6 boxes lootroom too. Didn't quite work out but I learned a few things
1.) You can still place the TC + Furnace and be able to change the doors.
Stability bunker is patched os ps4 doesn't work
Is it only me but did they patch the seal for the base. I can’t place the roof to seal the base any suggestions?
Check if there is an object (e.g. a sleeping bag) or another player (e.g. your sleeping teammate) in the way
Any particular reason for the half-height floor triangles being wood? I was testing out the build on my own server and /up 2 to upgrade any twig to stone also upgraded those triangles. The only thing I can figure is that there will be wood elsewhere, requiring wood in the TC, so you may as well use the single 1k stack you'll have in there for multiple things -- is this assumption correct?
Yes, exactly!
Hello, Where would you suggest to include a generator for power, thx in advance?
Good question, I don’t know to be honest. Maybe it can fit into the main loot room
How about making a nice boat base since the rigs came out and water travel is becoming more popular? Love the videos man, keep it up
I was thinking of doing a Quick Tips episode on building a very simple boat base.
@@EvilWurst even one with the larger boat?
What my doors in the loot room wont place ...?
I mean, there is a deliberate break in the video to address this issue. Not sure how much more explicit I can make it
@@EvilWurst Now do we have to do the "April 19 workaround"? By the way you said in the video it seemed like that had to be done before, but its fixed now ...?
Prime yes, you have to do the April 2019 workaround
how do you even loot 7 box loot rooms? i cant seem to get to each one
Nice video. I'm curious though. How do you test your builds?
Depends. In this case, we built the base during 2 wipes to see how well it works
@@EvilWurst thanks.
He has his evil minions doing that (Me for example)
@@oldfoolplayinggames2067 lol
It's good to have minions to help out.
:-)
Bro how do i build it is there a step by step to what goes where..also what is the pastebin rae data..how to use it
Can you make a big base with inside peekdowns and bunkers for around 5-8 people please
I work by inspiration, not by request. Besides, I don’t really have much experience with such bases, so no idea whether I could even design a good one
How did you destroy the workbench at 11:50 ?
I used an admin command to destroy it quickly. In game, you need to use a tool, such as a hatchet
Got this game 1 month now i cant even build a 2 / 2 out of stone before im dead
Keep at it ... the mini fort helped me out alot .. do u play official or community?
Danke für die coole Base 👍🏻
Wonderful design as always, though I'd probably add a few more boxes somewhere. I'll think of something, it's fine
It's not meant for a wipe during which you want to assess tons of loot. If that's the plan, the Mini Frustrator might work better
More aerial shots and going straight to the final form would make this a lot easier to follow
*we are in the EndGame now*
Why does he always say "until then Evil Wurst out"? Until what? I'm so confused!
next video
damm amazing base
always good as ecpected ;D
I missed a lot! Where were u!
Taran Singh were I gone that long?? my last video was just a week ago
Evil Wurst your content is so great I play on a weekly wipe server! Sorrry m greedy boi !
But your stuff and things are so great! I can’t wait!
Thank you,@@taransingh8086 !
HOLY SHIT THAT'S GREAT! You really manage to combine all the best features!!!!
#OldManPaxus Rating: ★★★★
I built the phoenix 2 about a week ago, and i couldnt understand what i was doing wrong with the 7 box lootroom :P
It is very tedious takes me close to 10 minutes to build one
It's really frustrating, isn't it? Unfortunately, the devs have not reacted to the Reddit post about the issue
Evil Wurst yes really
more like... "The thicc iron cross"
You know they just can rocket the shootgun trap right even it will kill them but it doesnt matter
The raid cost are calculated as of the traps were not there
Wenn ich dich noch einmal "Evil Wurst out" sagen höre, schlage ich ein Loch in meinen Bildschirm :'D
Did you end up making any upgrades to it?
I can't manage to get the stability roof to place, just tells me "not enough space". Is that part still working?
Nvm, base m8 was sleeping underneath the placement area xD
Glad you figured it out!
Ich liebe es!
Slethion gracias!
Sheesh Slethion stop using @everyone and use @here like I told you. Your pings even get me on RUclips
no means am i trying to hate on you but 5 auto turrets is expensive on a vanilla, by far a better base than ill ever come up with tho
Definitely expensive, but in my team, we usually have 20 of them by the end of the wipe. If you don't expect to find too many, extend the shooting floor
Evil Wurst is modeling his base top down after the Iron Cross.
Not really :)
Where is the Research table at bandit?
Second floor of one of the buildings
What is the workaround for the tier 3bench at the end of the video? Just place the door first?
yeah
Yes
I’m sorry did you say a forward base my noob ass makes 1 by 2 stick forward bases and try’s to hide them
Yay I don't have to spam refresh on ur channel page anymore
