Great video. Thanks for creating it. I actually discovered this option myself a few weeks ago and struggled to get it installed because I don't use a Supervised install of HomeAssistant so I don't get addons. But got it working through my docker setup and lots of trial an error.
I was going to suggest the option to Always enable HTTPS in the Cloudflare SSL menu but one of commenters beat me to it.
One other suggestion to truly secure your HomeAssistant instance is to enable the MFA - this will stop anyone from trying brute force your HA credentials.

The issue with buffer is explained in the URL displayed below the error. If you will create a subdomain as an A record and point to the public IP given by your ISP that is assigned to the MAC address of your router, the Cloudflare Addon will automatically detect it and assign the tunnel to this subdomain after the authorization of the tunnel in the Cloudflare. I tested it and this is exactly working this way I described. So you can point a subdomain instead a main domain to your HA instance. Anyway thanks for the great tutorial. I wish I could only know how to disable logging in local LAN via http and port 8123, because I do not want to use this anymore.

Nice video. I went with a different approach however. Since I don't feel comfortable having my HA (or any other webservices) exposed to the outside world 24/7. What I do is use my own self hosted VPN (Wireguard) when i'm not at home to access my HA.
About certificates, I installed a self signed certificate together with Nginx Proxy Manager on Docker.
The only downside I see to this, is that I had to install the root certificate to the Trusted store on all my devices. But I bumped up the validity of it to 10 years so good to go. My HA still has the certificate installed on HA itself, but I want to transfer it to the Nginx Proxy Manager too.

The Freenom domains shown in the video are now banned by Cloudflare and you cannot use .cf, .ga, .gq, .ml, .tk, domain names anymore. Instead you need another domain. One of the cheapest alternative is using .xyz domain that contains only numbers (between 6-9 numbers). This domain cost around $0.85/per year with the same renewal price. Hi Antonio,
you can try add additional hosts in the configuration of the Cloudflared add-on. Check the documentation for the exact syntax, but in theory you should list them as new services and you will be able to access these services using subdomains of your main domain registered in the Cloudflare. This is an example of what you can add in the Cloudflared add-on
      additional_hosts:
      - hostname: "router.example.com"
      service: "192.168.1.1"
