@@MikeBradleyofficial learn some more lukathur that one lick he does is alsome but I can’t explained it to you , just do a few more lukathur thanx a lot
Awesome!! Thanks so much for the tutorial, can't wait to try the Steve Lukather bend! First time I've heard of him - clearly I have some catching up to do! 🎧
@@MikeBradleyofficial Yes I went on a Lukather bender and found some new favourites! 🎸 Did you see the music video for 'Run to Me'? He does a great dad dance hehe
Great initiative Mike! Really love what you teach.. Love his playing as much as you do.. Many of his solos are epic.. I remember when the Multi-effects GT1 was introduced he did a couple of patches.. I said to myself if it's good enough for him it's good enough for me.. I really love the Drive, amp emulation and Delay sound out of that small box..
@@MikeBradleyofficial @Mike Bradley Welcome, the GT1 is the portable version of the Gt100.. The Gt1 is really affordable.. I have a boutique drive pedal that costs just as much.. They introduced since then the Gt1000 which is even a notch better.. The Gt1000 has a Faster Cpu (32 bits) and sampling rate(96 mhz) then the previous Gt1-Gt100 with a 24 bit CPU and 48 Mhz sampling rate.. The only weakness i find with the Gt1-Gt100 is perhaps their modulation that are good but not as good as the standalone analog pedals.. There is a subtle difference in definition and clarity.. However the drives, amp emulation and delay patches eyes closed, are almost impossible to distinct from the analog pedals.. That's least what I found and btw Johnny Marr thinks this way too because he uses the Gt100... The Gt001 he shows is the same thing as the gt1 .. The Gt1 came a little after and includes an expression pedal.. ruclips.net/video/_i30ahxCeBQ/видео.html
To finish my point it seems like the latest Gt1000 is at the top the game even with modulation effects.. According to what I've heard it seems almost impossible to tell if it's a digital or analog delay.. They came up with a smaller footprint version that cost less the Core model..
Great video mike, im a huge luke fan and I agree his first solo album is great. The biggest thing I ever learned of Steve Lukather like you said the biggest ego should be the song. If you listen to a lot of Luke's guitar parts on his songs and solo albums he very often plays very simple but brilliant guitar pieces and ideas despite the fact he has absolutely insane technique. His solos are usually quite short and melodic too generally but are so brilliantly done. Lukather to me is as much a musician as a guitarist in which I mean the guitar is only his way of expressing its just the instrument he chose, but he first and foremost is a musician.
“Sneaking in of licks” that’s an interesting thing. I have one it two licks that I use to shift a position and I use them without thinking. And the rhythm and the phrasing changes and my friend in the states watched a video I did with another mate and he said: “you played the music as well!” I was like: “yeah, who’d you know?” And hé sang the lick I’d played. And made me aware that I even play it in the underlying rhythm part as well as in the lead solo. instagram.com/p/BtrRXCJiCcW/?igshid=xoqwdg6oi66h He told me that I also used that same transistion lick in a song I did with him. Now I’m so painfully aware that I try not to play it :) Steve is a genius.
Hey Mike, I'm not sure if you've made a video like this before, but maybe you can make one giving us tips on how to make a channel like yours. How do we get affiliation/sponsored in the guitar world. What's involved in the background. Was there a huge investment for you to start this channel. Do you ever have to deal with copyright issues. Love the videos! Thanks
I am a big fan of Steve Lukafer as well.
Great tribute. Steve Lukather is a fantastic person too.
You are the best teacher I have seen on here, you go slow and take your time slow and show us, I have learned a lot off you!!!
Aww thank you for your kind words, means a lot.

Great stuff Mike! Thanks Brother, and I'm with ya on Mr. Lukather. He is absolutely amazing!
Thanks David, and yes he sure is!
I love the playing the sound in this video and it’s always great to see the bradcaster in a video with its signature sound.
Thank you Michael! 😊🙏
*Sweet vid & nice juicy tone as well 🔥*

Hahaha.. I did, you can’t help but love Steve!
Wow, the tone you get with that gear is awesome. Such a vocal sound. That guitar seems perfect for you.
Thank you buddy. Yeah, we’ve become fast friends!
Excellent video
One of your best videos. "Cane-ing it"? Is that UK expression? Really all around great insights. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much Chris. Haha yes, means going fast.

The man is a God, Lukather ain’t bad either! love playing this track on bass.
Hahaha you charmer!
I've worn out "No Substitutions" with him and Carlton. Crazy stuff. Had the Luke album on cassette. Ha. Wore that out too.
Yes of course!!! Forgot about that album. I have it on cassette too! Think I should upgrade to CD... They do still make them right!? 😬

Funnily enough, as soon as I uploaded this particular video it got demonitized straight away. Tad bit annoying. I’m sure I can sort a video like that.
It was High time x gods sakè!
Is it a coincidence you posted this on Lukather's birthday?
Honestly complete coincidence! Saw that this morning
A random comment, but what hair product do you use?
Haha.. literally just a bit of hairspray
It's a wig. /jk
😂🤣😂 shhh!! Don’t let the cat out of the bag! 😂😂
The biggest ego in the room should be the song...whoa
You can sing his solos.
Not really an accurate cover of Rosanna solo.
